The Reincarnated Assassin is a Genius Swordsman 1378

 Chapter 1378

“By order of the archangel!”

Redeem the humans!

“The day of judgment has come!”

The celestials descended toward the Cameloon Plains with their pure white wings spread wide. They raised their spears, blazing with divine power, their eyes utterly cold as though they saw humans as nothing more than disgusting insects.

“Is it finally our turn!”

“Being told to do whatever we want isn’t as easy as it sounds.”

"You're all... dead...."

Martha, Burren, and Runaan, together with the Light Wind swordsmen, pointed their swords toward the descending celestials. The Light Wind Sword Formation, which had grown alongside their lives, spread on the wind, and a massive pillar made of blue aura surged up from the center of the Five Kings Alliance.

The celestials imbued with golden light and the Light Wind swordsmen wrapped in blue wind were just about to collide head-on.

Kuwaaaaaaaaaaaang!

A tremendous shock and deafening roar erupted from somewhere, though its exact location could not be determined.

Not only the Light Wind swordsmen and the celestials, but every battle taking place across the Cameloon Plains came to a halt.

Kuwaaaaaaaaaaang!

Raon and Uriel seemed to sense where the disturbance had occurred, and their eyes, which had been fixed on each other, turned toward the west.

‘That was an incredible shock.’

I don't know exactly where grandfather and the Heavenly Demon are fighting, but the collision between the two Absolutes alone is enough to shake the heavens and earth of the Carmeloon Plains.

‘But this clash is different.’

I've continuously sensed that grandfather and the Heavenly Demon have been fighting, but the shockwave this time is different from before.

‘A new power has entered the fight.’

I can feel a completely different power manifesting between grandfather’s aura and the Heavenly Demon’s combative energy.

The King of Essence felt it too!

Wrath turned toward the direction where Glenn was, lightly biting his lip.

At this rate, that Nadine bread geezer is going to be in dan—

‘No.’

Raon firmly shook his head.

‘I was worried at first too, but after sensing it properly….’

It was a rather familiar energy.

Despite the great distance between us, I have a good idea who has inserted himself between grandfather and the Heavenly Demon.

‘The only person who could get between the Heavenly Demon and grandfather is that crazy human.’

Raon chuckled and turned his gaze back to Uriel.

'That side will likely work out fine on its own....'

I have to do what I need to do.

Determined to kill Uriel this time, Raon tightened his grip around Heavenly Drive.

“…….”

Uriel also seemed to have sensed a change in the battle between Glenn and the Heavenly Demon, his eyes following the direction of the west.

“Yes. That side is not what matters right now.”

He shook his head as though to dismiss the matter, then fixed his gaze back on Raon.

“Right now, this is the place where Heaven’s worst sinner must be punished.”

Uriel calmly drew his sword. Crimson flames, burning to punish humans, surged over the pure white, gleaming blade.

“Raon Zieghart, sinner. I will burn everything you possess with the Flames of Judgment.”

His eyes flashed with a chilling light as he declared that he would burn not only Raon, but everything belonging to Zieghart.

“Try me.”

Raon twisted up the corner of his mouth and circulated the Ten Thousand Flames Cultivation to its utmost limits. Golden flames surged along Heavenly Drive together with his smile.

Paaaaa!

Raon kicked off the air and activated Supreme Harmony Steps. The moment he was about to fold space and surge forward, Uriel moved as well.

Whoooooooong!

When Uriel spread his eight wings, he appeared before Raon as though his body had moved through space.

Thuuuuuum!

Raon and Uriel surged toward each other in an instant, swinging their swords, blazing with flames, toward each other’s throats.

Heavenly Drive and Apocalypse. The Ten Thousand Flames Cultivation and crimson flames clashed, covering the sky with a violent storm of fire.

Kkrrrraaaang!

Raon and Uriel unleashed countless sword strikes at each other with those flames swirling around them like red cloaks. The golden flames and crimson fire could not keep pace with the subtle movements of their swords, scattering through the air and becoming blazing red sparks. The sight was so brilliant and grand that it was like watching a massive fireworks display at a festival.

‘Hmm….’

Raon lightly bit his lip as he knocked aside one of Uriel’s sword strikes.

‘His might is still the same.’

Uriel’s might remains overwhelming, as he freely wields the Flames of Judgment and crimson flames. His swordsmanship is likewise not far behind my own, befitting an archangel who has transcended the limits, so he is still not an easy opponent to face.

‘I must not let him overwhelm me.’

With his crimson-flame sword raised and the Flames of Judgment swirling around him, Uriel’s figure displayed both the beauty and absolute sense of oppression of an archangel straight out of mythology. It was a presence that would naturally crush any human beneath it, but Raon absolutely could not allow himself to be overwhelmed by his presence.

‘Because the Flames of Judgment can burn anyone who is overwhelmed by Uriel.’

The Flames of Judgment surrounding Uriel are an absurdly overpowered ability that can burn to death any human overwhelmed by him without him even lifting a finger. Having experienced it before, I conditioned myself from the very beginning to believe that Uriel was an opponent I could defeat.

‘If I am pushed back, everyone else will die.’

Countless people are watching me now. If I’m pushed back by Uriel here, all of them will be affected by the Flames of Judgment and reduced to ashes without leaving behind even a single fragment of bone.

‘Uriel is certainly strong, but….’

Raon narrowed his eyes as he examined Uriel again.

‘The amount of divine power he possesses hasn’t changed much from before.’

Azazel said that Uriel would weaken if the temple was destroyed. I don’t know how much Uriel has weakened, but since he hasn’t grown stronger than he was then, thankfully, it seems he still hasn’t recovered his original strength.

Because you destroyed that damned temple!

Wrath chuckled, saying that Raon had accomplished this by burning down the temple before Uriel could defeat him.

At this point, you should be able to kill that damned pigeon!

He gave Raon’s shoulder a hard slap, urging Raon to do his utmost to kill Uriel.

‘You don’t have to tell me….’

Raon slowly caught his breath and nodded.

‘I know!’

He pushed off the air with just his toes and darted toward Uriel’s left side.

Whoooooooong!

Holding his breath, Raon drew Frost Pond downward toward Uriel’s back. What had originally been a sword technique in which a single swing became two strikes that simultaneously cut the enemy’s throat and heart had now become ten blades of frost, targeting Uriel’s vital points.

Kyaaang!

Uriel knew Raon’s sword strikes were coming, yet he did not even turn around. The Flames of Judgment coiled around his shoulder naturally rotated, deflecting all ten blades created by Frost Pond.

‘As expected….’

Raon narrowed his eyes as he watched the Flames of Judgment spin fiercely.

‘Those flames are the problem.’

He remembered the moment when the heat of Apocalypse, imbued with the Flames of Judgment, had felt as though it would burn his entire body away. Just as before, and even now, he had to cut through those Flames of Judgment before he could pierce Uriel.

“Your sword is still as crude as ever.”

Uriel snorted and swung Apocalypse toward Raon’s neck. Even a casual swing caused terrifying flames to bloom in a circle, generating such intense heat that it seemed capable of crushing the sky.

Jjeeeeeeeong!

Even though Raon defended with Firewall, Uriel’s crimson flames pushed in as though they were about to devour the flames of the Ten Thousand Flames Cultivation.

Kuuuuuuung!

Even when Raon strengthened the heat of the Ten Thousand Flames Cultivation and swung Heavenly Drive, Uriel continued to press forward with overwhelming firepower, as though declaring that his crimson flames were of a higher order, crushing the golden flames beneath them. The heat of the thousand flames still could not cut through Uriel’s crimson flames, but Uriel’s sword pierced through the flames of the Ten Thousand Flames Cultivation and bared its fangs toward Raon’s neck.

Ah, right. There was that, too….

Wrath smacked his lips as though only now remembering the Flames of Judgment.

And that madman was there as well.

Contrary to what he had said earlier, he narrowed his brow as though realizing this would not be easy.

'I know. And....'

Raon slowly lowered his eyes as he gazed at the fiercely burning crimson flames and Flames of Judgment.

‘I already thought about how to cut through those as well.’

From before the war began, I naturally anticipated that I would end up fighting Uriel one-on-one, so I had already prepared a countermeasure.

'I told you before, right?'

Raon gripped Heavenly Drive and Wooden Ring Sword in reverse and plunged them into the sky filled with divine power.

Kuwaaaaaaaaaaaa!

Flames and frost erupted from the air where Heavenly Drive and Wooden Ring Sword had been driven in, and the sun and moon, more brilliant than ever before, rose above the black, fractured sky.

Golden flames and silver coldness bloomed along the blades of Heavenly Drive and Wooden Ring Sword, which had absorbed the light of the sun and moon.

Sword Field Creation.

Divine and Demonic Harmony.

The ancient blades that had once cleaved through the hearts of an archangel and a demon king once again let out a clear cry from Raon’s hands.

“First….”

Raon exhaled a white breath and glared at Uriel.

“I’ll make you bring out that damn sword.”

Uriel was still not showing his true strength. Only by opening that Apocalypse to stage 2 could Raon draw out his true power.

Kugugugugugugugu!

Knowing the danger of Divine and Demonic Harmony, Uriel immediately erased the crimson flames naturally emanating from Apocalypse without hesitation. Of course, the heat did not disappear. Instead, it condensed into the blade, giving it a level of destructive power entirely different from before. This was Apocalypse, stage 1.

“So you’re not a fool.”

Raon twisted up the corner of his mouth and activated Supreme Harmony Steps. He raced along a path of flames, drawing the divine sword downward from directly in front of Uriel while raising the demonic sword upward.

Falling flames and lightning surging upward in reverse. It was the harmony of Ten Thousand Flames Cultivation’s ultimate technique, Ten Thousand Scattered Heavenly Infusion, and Heavenly Lightning Cultivation’s ultimate technique, Radiant Lightning Blast. He unleashed two highest-level ultimate techniques, each of which was difficult enough to operate on its own, in perfect harmony.

Kkrrrraaaack!

Uriel’s Apocalypse, imbued with tremendous heat and producing gray distortions in the air, was forced to tilt under the endless flames of Ten Thousand Scattered Heavenly Infusion.

But Raon’s offensive was not over yet.

Pajijijijik!

The blue lightning imbued in the demonic blade surged upward like an explosion and struck Apocalypse’s blade once more.

After being struck in succession by the two ultimate techniques, Apocalypse was etched with deep black cracks across its blade, despite being imbued with crimson flames. Of course, that was not all.

Raon’s sword strikes went beyond Apocalypse and left two thin sword wounds across the chest of the archangel Uriel. The aftermath of Ten Thousand Scattered Heavenly Infusion and Radiant Lightning Blast had pierced through the Flames of Judgment and penetrated the archangel’s body.

“Ha….”

Uriel let out a hollow laugh as he stared at the faint trickle of blood, as though he had never imagined he would be wounded the moment he opened Apocalypse.

“You’d better open it straight to stage 2.”

Raon nodded as he tasted Uriel’s blood, swinging the divine and demonic swords as they let out a resounding cry.

“I never lose to someone I’ve fought once before.”

It was the moment Raon lowered his stance, declaring that he would settle the fight now.

“Sinner Raon Zieghart.”

Uriel twisted up the corner of his mouth as he looked at the cracked Apocalypse.

“You are still utterly foolish.”

He raised his gaze toward Raon and arrogantly lifted his chin.

“You don’t think I came here alone, do you?”

As Uriel said that, five figures emerged from the golden dimension opened behind him. All of them grandly spread eight wings, the symbol of an archangel.

“No.”

Raon gave a mocking smile in return to Uriel’s sneer and smoothly tilted his chin.

“I knew.”
