The Reincarnated Assassin is a Genius Swordsman 1379
Chapter 1379
“What…?”
For the first time, archangel Uriel’s expression hardened.
“You knew?”
Deep furrows formed between his brows, as though he had heard an answer from Raon that he had never expected.
“I told you.”
Raon calmly nodded.
“You wouldn’t have joined this war without any countermeasures, would you?”
Uriel and the Celestials’ goal was to reset the human world. To accomplish that detestable goal, the seven archangels had to blow the seven horn trumpets one after another to summon the Dragon of Destruction. But until now, even though they wanted to, they had been unable to do so.
‘Because I killed the archangels one after another.’
I had beheaded three archangels, including Raphael, the Archangel of Protection and Healing. Under normal circumstances, they should have been unable to summon the Dragon of Destruction because there were not enough archangels. But there was no way Uriel would simply sit back and watch that happen.
Exactly!
Wrath snorted as he looked at Uriel.
That bastard has the authority to appoint archangels!
He narrowed his eyes as he explained that Uriel, as the leader of the archangels, had the authority to appoint other archangels.
No, even without such authority, that bastard would sacrifice other high-ranking angels to make them blow the horn!
Wrath gritted his teeth, calling Uriel a monster who cared nothing about sacrificing his own allies for the sake of his purpose.
“I had forgotten….”
Uriel looked into Raon’s eyes and slowly nodded.
“That you had that mongrel attached to you.”
A cold light flashed in his eyes, as though he could actually see Wrath floating behind Raon.
‘Mongrel?’
Raon blinked as he looked at Wrath. It seemed that Uriel was talking about him, but Raon could not understand why he was calling him a mongrel.
M-mongrel?
Wrath ground his teeth so hard that they audibly grated.
That pigeon bastard who does nothing but shit from the sky has the nerve to call someone a mongrel!
He grabbed the divine sword and went into a fit, demanding that Raon let him descend immediately.
“I can no longer deny it.”
Uriel nodded with a heavy sigh.
“The reason Derus Robert said you had to be killed at all costs….”
He bit his lip deeply, as though regretting that he had not made killing Raon his highest priority.
“But now, everything is over.”
Uriel slowly shook his head as he ran his hand over the cracked blade of Apocalypse.
“Now that all the archangels have gathered, the only thing left for this world is destruction.”
Uriel raised the horn trumpet hanging from his waist and twisted his lips. Brilliant radiance, almost too dazzling to look at, poured out from the dimension that had opened behind him, and five archangels emerged one after another.
Goooooooooooooooo!
The first archangel to appear had his eyes lowered and his lips firmly closed. Strangely, both a kindness that warmed the heart and a chilling sensation that sent shivers down the spine could be felt from him at the same time. Seeing the golden scales in his right hand, he seemed to be Raguel, the archangel who had helped Derus Robert escape from Glenn.
Woooooooooooo!
The second archangel to emerge from the dimension had the appearance of a beautiful woman and wore an innocent, childlike smile. Yet all that could be felt from her gentle smile was a deep and intense bloodlust. She seemed to have no thought other than killing humans.
That bastard….
Wrath deeply furrowed his brow as he looked at the second archangel.
That is archangel Gabriel.
He let out a low groan, saying that Gabriel was insane and that he did not want to fight her.
‘I don’t know about being insane….’
Raon’s lips trembled slightly as he looked at Raguel and Gabriel.
‘But they’re both on a level that doesn’t fall behind Uriel.’
His fingertips trembled from the energy wave emanating from Raguel and Gabriel. Uriel might have been slightly superior, but these two were also absolute beings more than worthy of bearing the name of archangel.
Gooooooooooo!
The third archangel to appear in the air was a sturdy man carrying a spear wreathed in blazing light of healing on his back. Seeing the healing light surrounding him, he appeared to have inherited the power of the archangel Raphael whom Raon had killed.
‘This one….’
Raon narrowed his eyes as he looked at the celestial who had inherited Raphael’s name.
‘He’s weaker than the previous Raphael.’
Perhaps because it had not been long since he inherited the name of an archangel, he seemed weaker not only than Uriel and Gabriel, but even than the previous Raphael. However, the spear strapped to his back seemed special, as it radiated powerful divine power.
Crackle.
The fourth Archangel to emerge wore elaborately decorated gauntlets on both hands, golden lightning blazing around them. Seeing that he wielded lightning, he appeared to have inherited Ramiel’s power.
Finally, the last archangel to reveal herself was a woman who looked as though the very concept of beauty had been sculpted into human form. Her eyes, in particular, were breathtaking, shining like jewels. Simply looking into her eyes made Raon’s heart tremble and his mind go blank. Seeing that she could bewitch people, it seemed that this celestial had taken Sariel’s ability.
When all six archangels stood in the sky, holy radiance descended magnificently from the unseen heights above, like chandelier light, as though God itself were blessing this moment.
Gooooooooooo!
Thanks to that dazzling light, the presence of the archangels grew even more imposing. It looked as though they were the only ones standing in this entire world.
‘Are they the new archangels?’
Raon tilted his chin as he looked at the new archangels who had inherited the powers of the archangels he had encountered before.
‘They all became weaker.’
Perhaps because they had inherited those powers soon after the previous archangels died, the might of every archangel except Raguel and Gabriel was weaker than that of their predecessors.
‘So all that fighting wasn’t for nothing.’
At first, Raon had been disappointed that killing the archangels seemed to have accomplished nothing. But now that he could sense that the new archangels’s might was still incomplete, he felt somewhat relieved.
You must not let your guard down.
Wrath clicked his tongue.
It’s true that the new pigeons are weaker, but that sly bastard Uriel strengthened them with artifacts.
He clicked his tongue, saying that every single weapon the new archangels carried possessed mythic-grade abilities.
‘I’m not letting my guard down. No, I can’t afford to.’
Raon gave a faint chuckle at the thought of how he could possibly let his guard down with six archangels standing before him.
The King of Essence’s saying that because you’re not tense at all!
He slightly furrowed his brow, seemingly worried about Raon.
“Woooooaaaah!”
“The archangels have arrived!”
“Victory in this war has already been decided!”
“Destroy the humans!”
“Purify these worms that are gnawing away at this land!”
The celestials, seemingly emboldened by the appearance of the five archangels, unleashed their divine power and brought down their sharpened spears.
“The archangels!”
“The archangels came just as promised!”
“It’s all over! Once the Heavenly Demon returns, everything will be perfect!”
“The restoration has finally begun! Our era is coming!”
The demons of Eden also roared and pressed the humans harder, seemingly already certain of victory at the majestic sight of the archangels.
“Ahhh….”
“Th-that’s an archangel? All of them?”
“They all seem to be on a realm similar to Sir Raon….”
“I can feel something demonic and sinister from them.”
“C-can we even defeat them?”
“We should have finished Eden before those bastards appeared!”
Meanwhile, the Five Emperors Alliance turned pale at the arrival of the archangels, who were wrapped in overwhelming divine power. They were terrified at the thought that even Raon could not possibly stop all six archangels alone.
Look!
Wrath pointed at the people below and frowned.
Everyone is terrified!
He waved his hand, saying that the energy emanating from the archangels was so immense that the humans’ morale was plummeting.
“Your expression has stiffened.”
Uriel twisted his lips as he looked at Raon.
“Everything you have done up until now was meaningless.”
He shrugged, saying that all Raon had done was kill the previous Archangels.
“Doesn’t seem that way.”
Raon calmly shook his head.
“The existing archangels certainly look strong….”
He curled his lips as he looked past Raguel and Gabriel at the newly revealed archangels.
“But those are just replacements.”
He shook his head, seeing absolutely no value in the new archangels.
“How dare you….”
“Are you looking down on archangels when you are just a human!”
Ramiel and Sariel ground their teeth in disbelief.
“…”
Raphael merely smiled, as though no one could tell what he was thinking.
“Don’t get worked up.”
Uriel waved his hand at the archangels beside him.
“That human is the one who killed your predecessors.”
He wrinkled his nose, telling them to absolutely not step forward.
“Hmm.”
“That human….”
Ramiel and Sariel swallowed dryly, seemingly startled after sensing Raon’s might once again.
“So you are Raon Zieghart.”
Raguel narrowed his eyes as he slowly examined Raon.
“I can certainly sense a stature that has transcended humanity.”
He nodded, saying that Raon was indeed a human worth being targeted by Derus Robert.
“I like that man. I received the name Raphael thanks to him.”
Raphael bowed his head, saying that he had received the name Raphael thanks to Raon. Contrary to his words of gratitude, when he raised his head again, his eyes were as cold and ruthless as a snake’s.
“…”
Gabriel merely continued smiling as she had from the beginning, as though she had no interest in Raon whatsoever. She seemed completely uninterested in the situation, yet at the same time, she looked as though she simply wanted to taste blood as soon as possible.
“Hmm….”
Raon narrowed his eyes as he looked at the six archangels who had appeared, from Uriel to Sariel.
“There are six of you. Is that really enough?”
He shrugged, asking whether six of them could truly bring destruction upon this world.
“Don’t worry.”
Uriel snorted and waved his hand.
“I can handle two.”
Saying that he would blow two horn trumpets himself, he put the first horn trumpet to his lips.
S-stop him!
Wrath let out an urgent warning cry, as though he had not realized that Uriel would put the horn trumpet to his lips so soon.
He really intends to blow it!
He jumped up, shouting for Raon to stop Uriel immediately.
“…”
Raon simply watched Uriel in silence, as though he had not heard Wrath’s warning.
“Hmph!”
Uriel snorted, apparently believing that Raon was frightened, and blew the horn trumpet.
Woooooooooooooooo!
The moment a majestic sound that shook the world erupted from the curved body of the trumpet, the split sky opened, and a meteor blazing with blood and flames descended from above.
Rumbleeeeeeeee!
The meteor moved its enormous body solely toward the Five Kings’s formation, as though it had eyes of its own.
“N-no!”
“My god….”
“H-how are we supposed to stop that!”
“Sword Immortal! Please help us!”
“N-no matter how powerful the Sword Immortal is, he can’t cut that….”
The warriors of the Five Kings Alliance fell into despair at the sight of the enormous meteor, which seemed beyond the capacity of human might to withstand. Some even dropped to their knees and closed their eyes, already sensing their deaths.
“It’s over now.”
Uriel removed the trumpet from his mouth and let out a mocking laugh.
“No.”
Raon firmly shook his head as he stroked the black flower bracelet around his wrist.
“It’s just beginning.”
It was the moment he said that this was only the beginning.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
A chillingly black energy surged from the crumbling earth, crushing the meteor that had been about to destroy the ground like a withered leaf.
Hwaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
Beneath the fragments of the meteor scattering into dust, a gigantic figure rose to its feet. It was so haggard that the skin beneath its eyes was blackened as though it had been scorched by fire.
“Ahhh….”
His speech was slow to the point of being tedious, and his voice sounded somewhat foolish. Yet his presence was more intense than anyone else’s here. He was the being whom devildom itself had knelt before and granted a throne. The monarch who had inscribed the authority of sloth upon this world raised his eyes.
“I’m still sleepy….”
