The Reincarnated Assassin is a Genius Swordsman 1314
Chapter 1314
‘I’ll keep pressing the attack.’
Raon didn’t miss the opening created by Uriel’s momentary shock. He unleashed the Fangs of Insanity and the Blizzard Sword Art without hesitation.
‘I can cut him now.’
Thanks to his constant exposure to the divine power spilling from the clash between Uriel and Darkan, <Divine Power Resistance> had risen to rank 8, while <Blade That Cuts Divine Power> had reached rank 5. Both traits had increased in rank and proficiency at an astonishing pace during this battle alone.
It wasn’t too strange for <Divine Power Resistance> to reach rank 8 since he had possessed that trait for a long time, but even Raon found it absurd that the newly acquired <Blade That Cuts Divine Power> had already reached rank 5.
‘Because an ordinary ability has turned into something broken.’
With the five star <Blade That Cuts Divine Power>, rank 8 <Divine Power Resistance>, and even the authorities of the Demon Kings that he had kept hidden until now, inflicting a fatal wound on Uriel was no longer impossible.
Tzzzzzzzt!
Overwhelmed by the increasingly savage and razor-sharp flow of the Fangs of Insanity and the Blizzard Sword Art, Uriel suffered additional wounds across his forearm and thigh.
“How dare you!”
The fact that a human had wounded him damaged his pride so deeply that he ground his teeth against his lips.
Boom!
Raon saw the blue glow in Uriel’s eyes intensify and accelerated even further.
‘He's lost his cool.’
Even while fighting both Darkan and himself, Uriel had never allowed his emotions to waver. But after being wounded contrary to his expectations, the calm emotions he had maintained until now were boiling as if they were about to erupt.
His pride had clearly been wounded.
‘Now’s the time.’
Raon bit his lip lightly as he glanced at the Divine Sword and Demonic Sword, their flames and frost scattering into the air. The duration of the Divine and Demonic Harmony was nearing its end. He couldn’t afford to miss this chance to pour every last bit of strength into the fight.
"Burn to ashes!"
Uriel roared in fury and swung Apocalypse.
The crimson blade descended toward Raon’s neck with terrifying speed.
‘Just as I expected!’
Having observed the battle between the two absolute beings the entire time, Raon had become familiar with Uriel’s sword paths. This strike was one of the trajectories he had already predicted.
Kiaaaaaang!
Raon raised the Demonic Sword diagonally and redirected Uriel’s slash before stepping forward with his left foot.
At a distance so close he could hear Uriel’s breathing, he raised the Divine Sword upward and lowered the Demonic Sword.
Raon Zieghart Style Swordplay.

Divine and Demonic Harmony, Combined Technique - Red and Blue Invincible Sword.
Kuwaaaaaaaaaaah!
Clenching his teeth, Raon crossed and swung the divine and demonic swords.
Explosive flames and frost wrapped around the twin blades, piercing through Apocalypse and the Flames of Judgment before tearing through Uriel’s unyielding body once again.
Puuuuuk!
A long gash tore across Uriel’s shoulder and waist, sending blood spraying out in horrifying quantities.
Blood was still pouring from the wound on his chest as well. Had he been an ordinary person, he would have already died from blood loss.
“Haa…”
Yet Uriel paid no attention to his injuries and merely exhaled a heavy breath as though they were insignificant.
‘I have to keep going!’
Raon seized the opportunity created by Uriel’s deepened wounds and stepped forward with the Supreme Harmony Steps once more, thrusting Heavenly Drive forward.
Kyaaaaaang!
Uriel casually blocked Heavenly Drive with Apocalypse, raising the sword even with an arm still dripping blood.
“I see.”
Keeping his blade locked against Raon’s, Uriel twisted his blood-stained lips.
“So you possessed that damned Demon King’s authority as well.”
He seemed to believe that Raon had cut through the Flames of Judgment using Wrath’s authority.
The authorities of the Demon Kings were indeed natural enemies of divine power, but the traits themselves had also played a massive role in allowing him to cut not only through the flames, but through Uriel himself.
‘This isn’t bad.’
Unexpectedly, he had succeeded in making Uriel focus on the Demon Kings' authorities.
The more Uriel fixated on those powers, the more his divine-power traits would continue to grow unnoticed.
It was a huge advantage.
For the first time, defeating the Archangel Uriel here felt genuinely possible.
Aaaaagh...
Wrath’s jaw trembled so violently that it rattled.
How does this make any sense?! How are your trait ranks increasing this fast?!
He screamed that such a thing should have been impossible.
‘He's an archangel, after all.’
Raon slowly steadied his breathing and shook his head.
‘An archangel capable of unleashing the purest divine power. And not just any archangel, but a combat-focused one like Uriel. I deliberately took wounds while clashing with him and repeatedly cut his divine power....’
He dismissed another messages announcing an increase in his divine-power-related traits and smiled.
‘This level of growth isn't impossible.’
I didn't bother explaining it to Wrath, but I'd figured out how to raise trait ranks quickly.
Given enough time and the right circumstances, I could probably raise both <Divine Power Resistance> and <Blade That Cuts Divine Power> all the way to their highest rank right here.
‘Of course...’
Raon bit his lip while watching Uriel unleash terrifying slashes.
‘This bastard won’t help me do that.’
Uriel was now treating me with genuine caution and wielding swordsmanship so deadly it made my soul tremble.
Fortunately, I had already grasped some of Uriel’s sword paths while watching him fight Darkan.
Had this been our first exchange, I would have already lost an arm.
“Don’t forget about me!”
Darkan charged straight at Uriel and brought down his black sword.
“Show me something that’ll excite me even more!”
At some point, he had completely erased the sea of crimson flames Uriel had created and was grinning broadly.
“I never forgot.”
Uriel ground his teeth, fierce fury blazing within his blue eyes.
“Neither you nor that Demon King’s servant.”
His gaze narrowed.
“And yet I still let that wickedness slip through.”
Despite keeping his guard up against Raon the entire time, he had still been wounded.
The anger in his eyes seemed directed not at his enemies, but at himself.
“Haaaaaaaa...”
Uriel drew a long breath.
A tremendous heat surged from Apocalypse in his hand.
Fwoooooosh!
His icy gaze flashed as he swung Apocalypse toward both Raon and Darkan.
Craaaang!
Raon and Darkan each raised their strongest defenses, but neither could withstand the overwhelming power and heat contained within Apocalypse.
Both were forced backward.
Ssssss...
Uriel slowly raised Apocalypse.
The heat radiating from the sword continued to intensify.
“Without leaving even a single speck of ash behind...”
As if responding to his furious declaration, the blade of Apocalypse vanished.
In its place, crimson flames began rising from the weapon.
“I will burn everything.”
Pointing the flame-covered Apocalypse at Raon’s heart, Uriel’s voice turned colder than ever.
The divided Flames of Judgment sprang back to life and began rotating once more.
[Urgh!]
Azazel’s ragged gasp echoed through Raon’s mind.
[That’s the second release of Apocalypse! Everything that touches that sword will be burned away!]
She screamed that it was dangerous.
That is quite troublesome....
Even Wrath frowned deeply.
Uriel finally intends to fight seriously.
He bit his lip lightly and warned Raon to be careful.
‘Definitely...’
Raon nodded as he felt the terrifying heat radiating from Uriel’s sword, Apocalypse.
‘That won’t be easy to withstand.’
If I tried to take those flames head-on like before, I would likely suffer wounds that would be difficult to recover from even with <Divine Power Resistance>.
This was no longer the time to train.
Now, I had to focus on surviving by any means necessary.
“Now this is getting interesting!”
Darkan laughed excitedly, sensing Uriel’s energy wave growing even stronger.
“Excellent! Let’s keep playing until one of us dies!”
He released an even greater energy wave through his black sword, eager to continue the battle.
“...”
Uriel seemed to have completely suppressed the turmoil in his emotions once more.
Without a word, he swung Apocalypse at Darkan.
Fwoooooosh!
The crimson flames burned with an even deeper hue as they descended toward Darkan’s head.
“Kuahahahahaha!”
Darkan burst into wild laughter and condensed his aura into the black sword before firing it toward Apocalypse.
Kuwaaaaaaaaaaang!
Apocalypse and Darkan’s black sword collided head-on, unleashing a catastrophic shockwave.
A massive vortex descended from the sky, and Melvin mountain itself began to collapse.
“Kgh!”
The smile that never seemed to leave Darkan’s face finally faltered as he doubled over.
Simply blocking Uriel’s sword appeared to have inflicted tremendous damage on him, and black blood spilled from his mouth.Top of Form
“T-There was a sword like this...”
His legs trembled as he drove his sword into the ground.
“Apocalypse is a sword that eradicates evil. As long as you carry wickedness within you, you will never withstand it.”
Uriel shook his head, stating that merely blocking Apocalypse would cause both body and mind to crumble.
"Bullshit!"
Raon snorted and unleashed the Heavenly Lightning Cultivation, deflecting the thrust of Uriel's Apocalypse.
‘Urgh!’
The instant Apocalypse collided with Heavenly Drive, a suffocating shock overwhelmed both his body and mind.
His organs felt as though they were being burned alive, while his soul seemed to be melting away.
The agony was so intense that the hand gripping his sword began to tremble.
‘What is this?’
Just crossing blades with it produced enough pain to make him black out.
He couldn't understand how such power was even possible.
But Raon wasn't the only one surprised.
“You... how are you...?”
Uriel's brow furrowed deeply.
He looked even more shocked that Raon hadn't coughed up a single drop of blood.
“That wicked soul of yours should be screaming in agony!”
His jaw trembled slightly in sheer disbelief.
In the second stage of Apocalypse, it judges the sins of mortals.
Wrath shook his head while glaring at Uriel.
That bastard looks at your sins and punishes you accordingly. The damned part is that he gets to decide for himself what is evil and what isn't!
He grimaced.
As if his swordsmanship weren't troublesome enough, he also has a ridiculous ability like that.
‘Then why am I holding up better than Darkan?’
Raon blinked as he looked toward Darkan, who was visibly struggling.
That's because your soul is...
Wrath clenched his teeth as he met Raon's gaze.
Fucking massive! To the point where it wouldn't lose out to an archangel or even a demon king!
He wrinkled his nose, saying that because the level of Raon's soul was so extraordinarily high, even Apocalypse's power was significantly diminished against him.
‘Really? Then should I use my Heart Sword?’
Raon curled his lips into a smile as he looked at the bewildered Uriel.
‘I won't be able to kill him, but I might be able to deal some serious damage...’
That would be unwise.
Wrath immediately shook his head.
The Flames of Judgment that bastard possesses don't just defend against physical attacks, they block mental attacks as well. Your Heart Sword is already weak compared to the truly powerful ones. It'll be weakened even further before it reaches him!
He advised him to keep fighting directly and save the Heart Sword for the very end.
“No... that's impossible.”
Unable to accept what he was seeing, Uriel swung Apocalypse in its second released state once more.
Craaaang!
Raon used Heavenly Drive and Wooden Ring Sword to execute a form of the Heavenly Lightning of the Azure Sky, intercepting Uriel's strike.
“Khng...”
A groan escaped his lips before he could stop it.
The violent impact inflicted internal injuries, and blood surged all the way up to his throat. However, he swallowed it back down to conceal his condition.
“What is this...?”
Uriel's lips trembled.
It seemed he had expected Raon to cough up blood and collapse immediately.
“Keep going.”
Raon nodded as if he could endure as many attacks as Uriel wanted to throw at him.
“It doesn't hurt at all.”
Even with the extraordinary level of his soul, enduring Uriel's attacks was far from easy.
Still, he needed an opening, so he put on a confident front and beckoned with a finger.
“Then neither does it hurt me!”
Not wanting to lose to Raon, Darkan wiped the blood from his mouth and stood before Uriel once again.
“You still intend to keep your promise and block the archangel's sword, don't you?”
Raon shrugged as he looked at Darkan.
“Of course! I can't abandon a moment this entertaining!”
Grinning broadly, Darkan raised his black sword before his chest, determined to see the battle through to the end.
“Then...”
Just as Raon was about to charge at Uriel alongside Darkan—
[Hey! Human!]
A voice suddenly rang out within his mind.
Azazel, who had been hiding behind a pillar and merely watching the battle, suddenly spoke into Raon's mind.
[I know a way to weaken Uriel!]
