The Reincarnated Assassin is a Genius Swordsman 1267

 Chapter 1267

“Simple, huh...?”

The Black Form Snake let out a dry chuckle as he looked at Raon.

“I wonder how long that confidence of yours will last. Makes me want to see what happens when you finally meet.”

The curl at his lips made it clear he believed Raon’s calm expression would shatter the moment he faced the Heavenly Demon’s disciple.

“……”

Raon paid no attention to the Black Form Snake’s mocking words. His eyes remained fixed solely on Eden’s demons rushing toward them.

“Ugh…”

The Bear Alteration Demon was staring at the Black Form Snake with desperate eyes, an expression he had never shown before. There was undeniably some kind of special history between the two of them.

“Alright!”

The Black Form Snake stepped beside Raon and clapped loudly.

“I’ll guide you to the Heavenly Demon’s disciple myself. Seeing the two of you meet is bound to be entertaining.”

He smacked his lips, offering to personally act as their guide.

“You people don’t actually want to waste your strength fighting those trash mobs here either, right?”

Standing beside Raon, he looked down the mountain and gave a low whistle.

“I know a back route out of here. Follow me, and you can reach the disciple of the Heavenly Demon without fighting anyone.”

He stepped backward and crooked his finger, beckoning them to follow.

But despite his call, neither Raon nor a single swordsman of the Light Wind Palace so much as twitched a finger.

Ruuuumble!

The swordsmen of the Light Wind Palace radiated nothing but chilling killing intent toward the demons of Eden climbing the mountain, as if the Black Form Snake’s words had never even reached their ears.

“What the hell…?”

The Black Form Snake frowned at them.

“You can get through this without fighting, and you still want to battle them head-on?”

He let out a disbelieving laugh, genuinely unable to understand the Light Wind Palace’s mindset.

“Keep your mouth shut.”

Burren turned toward the Black Form Snake with a sharp glare.

“The acting head of house hasn’t said a single word yet.”

His meaning was clear, stop talking so much and wait for Raon’s command.

“You’re saying we can avoid a fight?” Martha curled her lips fiercely.

“Have you lost your mind? If there’s a fight to be had, why the hell would we run from it? Obviously we fight!”

Rather than backing down, she looked thrilled by the situation as she violently drew her sword.

“Not a single one of them…”

Runaan raised the Snow Flower Sword, her gaze turning ice-cold.

“…will reach us.”

She gave a firm nod, her demeanor an absolute declaration that she wouldn't let a single enemy lay a finger on her comrades.

“You people are complete idiots. I seriously don’t get you.”

The Black Form Snake blinked in disbelief at the utterly unexpected reaction from the Light Wind Palace.

“S-Sir Raon still hasn’t said anything yet.”

Even though the hand gripping his sword trembled, Dorian refused to back away from the cliff’s edge.

“We only follow Sir Raon’s orders. E-even if it means dying, if he tells us to fight, then we fight.”

Though his voice trembled with nerves, his feet remained firmly planted like roots in the earth.

“That’s more like it! Looks like you finally got your head on straight!”

Krein slapped Dorian on the back and nodded vigorously.

“With that man here, what’s there to be scared of?!”

He stomped his foot, declaring that as long as Raon stood with them, they had nothing to fear.

Boom!

The other swordsmen of the Light Wind Palace didn’t even glance at the Black Form Snake, making it clear they would follow only Raon’s commands.

“You lunatics…”

The Black Form Snake swallowed dryly in disbelief.

“…Which is exactly why I like you people even more. Guess I’ll stay too!”

He looked at Raon with excited eyes, seeming to like the Light Wind Palace even more now that he’d seen how utterly fearless and insane they were.

“We came here to make Eden pay in blood.”

Standing at the edge of the cliff, Raon arrogantly raised his chin.

“If we run away now, we're no better than petty thieves. There is no retreat. We carve our way straight through to where the Heavenly Demon’s disciple is waiting.”

He never trusted the Black Form Snake to begin with, so the offer had never once tempted him.

Telling them to break through Eden’s demons and march straight to the building where the Heavenly Demon’s disciple waited, Raon drew Heavenly Drive.

Shriiiiiing—!

As Raon smoothly swung Heavenly Drive downward, crimson heat erupted from the blade like the wings of a great phoenix and crashed into the Eden demons that had climbed all the way to the Light Wind Palace’s feet.

“W-What was that?!”

“No way… a sword technique like this can actually exist…!”

“Aaaaargh!”

The Eden executives wearing troll, ogre, and gargoyle helmets were split clean in half by Raon’s strike and tumbled straight off the cliff they had struggled to climb. Blood poured from their severed bodies like a crimson rain onto the demons of Eden below.

“T-Three of them got cut down in a single strike?!”

“T-Too fast…”

“That’s not human swordsmanship!”

“Ugh…”

The Eden demons froze where they clung to the cliff, horrified by Raon’s brutal yet flawless sword. The moment they met his burning red eyes, their entire bodies trembled with fear.

“Anyone who blocks our path…”

Raon raised Heavenly Drive, blazing red with heat, and pointed it at the Eden executives who had frozen while clinging to the cliff.

“…you may slaughter every last one of them.”

As if issuing an order that could spark an all-out war against Eden itself, he calmly lowered his chin.

“We obey the acting head of house’s command!”

“We obey!”

Starting with Burren’s response, the swordsmen of the Light Wind Palace shouted their obedience and charged down the cliff.

“Do not block Zieghart’s path!”

“You heard him! Kill them all!”

Riding the wind, Burren’s sword sliced through the gnoll-masked sorcerer to his right, while Martha, apparently interpreting Raon’s words in the most violent way possible, let out a savage yell and cleaved straight through an Eden swordsman wearing an orc helmet, blade and all.

“Let’s go too!”

“Smash 'em all!”

“The Sword Emperor is watching our backs!”

The Light Wind Palace swordsmen surged forward with rising momentum thanks to Raon, Burren, and Martha’s lead, charging down the cliff to clash head-on with Eden’s demons. This was undoubtedly Eden’s headquarters, yet the determination to win burned far stronger within Zieghart swordsmen.

“Haaah…”

Runaan exhaled an icy breath as she thrust out the Snow Flower Sword. Frost blooming from the blade scattered like flower petals riding the wind, forming a shield that protected the Light Wind Palace while freezing the hands and feet of Eden’s demons solid.

As the second Transcender of the Light Wind Palace, she displayed overwhelming might, mercilessly crushing enemies while perfectly protecting her allies.

“Hey, this is a lot easier than I thought!”

Krein let out an impressed laugh after cutting down one of Eden’s demons blocking his path.

“R-Right. Is this really Eden’s headquarters…?”

Even Dorian blinked in confusion as the path opened far more easily than he had expected.

“That's because the real ones haven't shown up yet.”

Raon calmly nodded as he walked along the path opened by the Light Wind Palace.

“These bastards are just fakes sent out by the real executives.”

The masked and helmeted demons rushing at the Light Wind Palace were, in truth, only slightly stronger than Eden’s lower-ranking red demons and green demons.

They were only able to display executive-level power because of the formation array spread throughout Eden’s Garden.

“Exactly!”

The Black Form Snake clapped his hands as if confirming Raon’s words.

“They’re fake executives, just red demons and green demons wearing low-grade masks and helmets. The formation array covering this Garden is what’s boosting their power.”

He looked at Raon with surprise, as if wondering how he had figured that out so quickly.

“I simply saw what was in front of me.”

Raon shook his head calmly.

‘It’s because I can feel the world itself now.’

After raising the Ring of Fire to ten stars, he could almost grasp the flow of the world in the palm of his hand. The moment he entered this place, he instinctively understood what role the array spread across this land served and what level the enemies before him originally possessed.

“You really are a monster, aren't you!”

The Black Form Snake curled his lips upward, looking even more entertained now.

“Alright! Let’s do this!”

As if he were actually a member of Zieghart, he casually followed alongside the Light Wind Palace, crushing Eden’s demons beneath his feet.

“What exactly are you doing?”

Raon frowned as he watched the Black Form Snake attack Eden’s forces.

“Like I said, these guys are just Red Demons and Green Demons who don’t fear death. They won’t retreat anyway, so I’m helping you save time.”

The Black Form Snake dashed forward, declaring that he would fight alongside Zieghart as well.

That bastard really is insane.

Wrath let out a hollow laugh in disbelief.

He can understand guiding you, but why is he attacking his own allies?

He shook his head, utterly unable to comprehend why the Black Form Snake was happily beating up and chasing off his fellow Eden members.

‘Seriously.’

Raon narrowed his eyes as he watched the Black Form Snake knock down Eden’s demons with nothing but his bare hands.

‘I can’t figure out what he’s thinking.’

The Black Form Snake’s might was at least at the intermediate level of Transcendence. He was undeniably one of the few true powerhouses in the continent, yet he was still no match for Raon. It was a complete mystery what kind of hidden trump card he possessed that allowed him to act so carefree in this situation.

“Ugh, nnngh…”

The Bear Alteration Demon followed behind the Black Form Snake, his lips trembling violently, his emotions seemed to be spiraling entirely out of control.

“Do you know him?”

Raon narrowed his eyes at the Bear Alteration Demon. Normally, he would’ve ignored it, but he had made it far too obvious that he knew the Black Form Snake personally. Now, even he was curious.

“Mmmh…”

Unable to answer immediately, the Bear Alteration Demon bit down hard on his trembling lip.

“If you don't want to talk, you don't have to.”

It didn’t seem like he would answer even if pressed, so Raon ignored him and continued down the blood-soaked path the Light Wind Palace swordsmen had carved open.

Rumbleee!

The Light Wind Palace swordsmen maintained the Light Wind Sword Formation as they cut through Eden’s demons as easily as harvesting apples, steadily descending the mountain.

“E-Excuse me…”

The Bear Alteration Demon approached Raon, barely managing to part her lips—

[Fall back!]

A tremendous voice boomed from atop the white tower. The terrifying combative energy woven into the shout froze not only Eden’s demons, but even the Light Wind Palace swordsmen.

“So the disciple of the Heavenly Demon has finally decided to step in.”

The Black Form Snake smirked as he brushed the blood off his shoes.

“Looks like choosing to force your way through instead of sneaking around was the right call after all.”

He nodded lightly, clearly amused now that the disciple of the Heavenly Demon had personally stepped in.

[Open the way!]

The Heavenly Demon’s disciple’s voice rang out again, ordering Eden’s forces to stop fighting the Light Wind Palace swordsmen and let them pass.

Whoooosh!

Though dense killing intent still poured from them, Eden’s demons obediently retreated far from the Light Wind Palace swordsmen and opened a path. It seemed they had no choice but to obey the Heavenly Demon’s disciple.

“So it's an invitation.”

Raon calmly nodded and began walking down the broad avenue now opened through Eden’s headquarters.

“Hoo…”

“Tch! I still wanted more!”

Keeping his grip tight on his sword, Burren maintained a tense vigilance as he followed Raon, while Martha clicked her tongue in annoyance, bitterly disappointed that the slaughter had been cut short.

“……”

Holding the Snow Flower Sword in her arms, Runaan spread her frost-like perception outward, as though determined to protect everyone no matter what happened.

“One side is calmly opening a path for their enemies from inside their own stronghold, while the other side boldly walks straight into enemy headquarters without the slightest hesitation…”

The Black Form Snake’s lips trembled as he looked back and forth between the white tower and Raon.

“This is a gathering of absolute maniacs.”

He crossed his arms and snickered, thoroughly entertained by the insanity of both sides.

“……”

Ignoring the Black Form Snake entirely, Raon continued walking deeper into Eden’s headquarters, where nothing but white towers stretched before him.

‘This place really is different.’

Every single one of them was strong.

The atmosphere changed the instant they entered Eden’s true headquarters. The demons surrounding Raon and the Light Wind Palace swordsmen now were all genuine Eden executives radiating overwhelming combative energy.

They had originally possessed extraordinary talent to begin with, but thanks to the array spread throughout this land, they seemed capable of wielding power beyond their actual level.

“Hmm…”

“The air feels heavy.”

“So this is the real thing.”

The Light Wind Palace swordsmen also sensed that these were the true Eden executives. None of them relaxed their guard as they tightened their resolve.

‘But…’

Raon exhaled softly.

‘The real monsters still haven’t appeared.’

The Transcenders of Eden stationed at the highest floors of the white towers still hadn’t moved from their positions, merely watching everything unfold from above.

The fact that they still refused to reveal themselves made it seem as though they had some reason they couldn’t move.

‘Come to think of it, the towers themselves are strange too.’

Eden’s headquarters was a mysterious place where white towers and forests blended together in eerie harmony, and each tower bore different symbols engraved upon it. Some depicted monster horns, fangs, or claws, while others showed weapons like swords and axes. It was impossible to tell exactly what each symbol represented.

‘Could those symbols be connected to the formation array…?’

Raon narrowed his eyes as he tried to piece together the purpose behind the towers and Eden’s strange setup.

At that moment—

Kuuuuung!

A massive tremor erupted from the tallest tower standing at the center of Eden. The doors engraved with the head of a dragon bearing ten horns slowly opened, and a slender figure emerged from within.

Step.

A woman appeared, her jet-black hair fluttering like spilled ink as heavy footsteps echoed with enough pressure to overwhelm everyone present.

She wore a helmet engraved with the face of a beauty capable of toppling nations, and upon her forehead rested a laurel crown woven from fresh green leaves.

Her presence and demeanor felt almost divine, radiating the suffocating grace of a sacred goddess descending upon the mortal realm.

“Welcome to Eden.”

From within the beautiful helmet, crimson eyes burning like molten lava flashed brilliantly.

“Sword Emperor Raon Zieghart.”
