The Reincarnated Assassin is a Genius Swordsman 1156

 Chapter 1156

“Uh…?”

“Hm?”

As Glenn passed by as if ignoring Raon, the other swordsmen also opened their mouths in round shapes.

“The Light Wind Palace master…”

“Right. After the Sword Sovereign, the head of house should be calling Sir Raon.”

“Normally he would start with the Light Wind Palace master.”

“Did he maybe forget?”

“There’s no way the head of house would do that….”

Since Glenn hadn’t finished speaking yet, the swordsmen only held small doubts and rolled their eyes.

“Central Martial Palace master, your greatest strength is your insight and your calmness in discerning an enemy’s openings. The swordsmanship that thrusts in a blade filled with pressure is a fang that works even on those at high levels. However, the flaw that doesn’t suit that is that you are far too cautious.”

After calling Karoon’s name, Glenn began listing his strengths and weaknesses.

“Hmm.”

Karoon had been looking at Raon, but the moment it became about him, he immediately focused on Glenn.

“Being overly cautious can be a strength, but in battles between Transcenders where victory and defeat are decided in an instant, it also means losing the initiative. From here on, think about fighting not with your head, but with your heart.”

Glenn gave advice to always-calm Karoon, telling him to let himself be swallowed by the heat of his heart just once.

“I will keep that in mind.”

Karoon bowed his head, saying he would follow Glenn’s words.

‘Clearly….’

Watching Glenn add a few more pieces of advice for Karoon, Raon tilted his chin to the side.

‘He looked at me first though?’

Not only had Glenn looked at me, our eyes had met. But he didn’t even call my name, let alone mention my strengths or weaknesses, and simply passed over me.

‘Why?’

Even if I hadn’t gone all-out in the spar with the Sword Sovereign, Glenn would have clearly grasped my strengths and weaknesses. I couldn’t understand why he would choose not to mention what he surely knew.

Since he always watches you, he’s probably sick of it.

Wrath nodded as if he understood Glenn’s feelings.

It is obvious he means for you to figure it out on your own.

He smirked, as if he could already see Raon’s suffering ahead.

‘He’ll tell me later.’

Since Glenn had often called his name last when giving rewards or discussing important matters in the audience chamber, Raon stayed still, assuming it was the same case this time.

When Raon didn’t move, the others seemed to think the same and turned their attention back to Glenn.

“War King Huber. The part where you melted the profound principles of swordsmanship into your destructive saber art was astonishingly good.”

After finishing with Karoon, Glenn began giving advice to the War King as well.

“Unlike the Sword Sovereign, you used the saber like a sword. I could tell that both of you influenced each other greatly.”

He nodded, saying the Sword Sovereign and War King had greatly influenced each other’s martial arts.

“That’s right. Because we fought almost every day.”

“I memorized all the forms even if I didn’t know the principles.”

The Sword Sovereign and the War King looked at each other with faint smiles, as if they took Glenn’s words as praise.

“The corresponding weakness is similar as well. There are parts of your movements that are too cautious for saber art. Just like Karoon, fight instinctively during this training period.”

Giving the War King similar advice to Karoon, Glenn moved on to the next person.

“Me! Dad, me!”

As if she didn’t want to be skipped like Raon, Aries immediately raised her hand.

“Aries. You…”

Glenn looked at Aries and let out a deep sigh.

“That straightforward personality of yours is both your strength and your weakness. Your swordsmanship is already honed to near completion. If you can sharpen your sense of when to charge in and when to step back, you’ll be able to achieve far better results than now.”

For Aries, he focused more on personality than martial arts.

“How am I supposed to find that sense?”

Aries tilted her head, asking how she was supposed to distinguish when to rush in and when to retreat.

“You will learn how to hold back during the upcoming training.”

Unlike Karoon and the War King, Glenn gave Aries instructions to suppress her impulsive nature.

“Next, Balder Zieghart.”

Glenn let out an even deeper sigh as he called Balder.

“Yes!”

Balder stood up with a shout loud enough to shake the training ground.

“You’re an idiot, so live like an idiot. Next…”

That was all Glenn said before moving on to the next person.

“…Huh? Excuse me! Father!”

Balder blinked blankly and asked again, but Glenn didn’t look back at him.

“Burren Zieghart. Your strength is that you wield a highly complete swordsmanship. A swordsmanship where you poured effort over talent will not be easily blocked by anyone of the same realm. However, like Karoon, you lack aggressiveness. You have great potential, so learn intuition sword.”

Glenn advised Burren to learn intuition sword and threw him a martial arts manual.

“Ah, yes!”

Burren received the book with trembling hands as if it were a treasure never to appear again.

“Martha Zieghart. Not losing the will to fight even after the war against the White Blood Religion is good, but you’re a bit excessive. There’s far too much strength in your shoulders. Reduce your training a little and learn to relax your mind.”

Glenn tossed her several books and told Martha to read.

“…Okay…”

Martha lowered her head in a deflated voice, shocked by the unexpected advice.

“Runaan Sullion.”

Glenn looked at Runaan, who stood beside Martha with her eyes closed.

“…Yes…”

Runaan half-opened her eyes and gave a small nod.

“I heard you only sleep at the fifth training ground these days, but your growth speed has become far faster than before.”

Glenn let out a breath of surprise.

“Not only your swordsmanship, physical ability, and aura, but even your attribute power has strengthened. It seems good for you to try creating the sword field using the same method as Rimmer.”

Tipping his chin, he told Runaan to try creating her sword field.

“Yes…”

Runaan bowed her head to Glenn and then closed her eyes again. She looked like she had no particular reaction, but her heart was beating fast enough to prevent sleep.

‘Certainly…’

Raon nodded slightly watching Runaan fall asleep again.

‘She changed a lot.’

Whether because she matched too well with sloth, Runaan wasn’t just growing in aura and the body, her frost attribute was growing too.

If she focused on creating her own sword  field as Glenn said, it seemed she might cause a major incident.

The King of Essence thinks the same!

Wrath nodded, saying the ice cream girl could pull it off.

“Then next…”

Glenn proceeded to explain the strengths and weaknesses of every swordsman in the training ground and gave directions for improvement.

“…Sylvia Zieghart and Sia Zieghart. You both have overwhelming talent, enough to understand why the Light Wind Palace master chose you. But you lack too much experience. My instruction for you both is the same. Spar at least once with every swordsman here.”

Ending with Sylvia and Sia, Glenn finished giving advice to all the swordsmen. The fact he remembered every one of the dozens of spars and thought through all the advice was astonishing.

“Since today is the first day, we’ll end here. The training ground will always stay open, so those who want personal training may use it.”

As if saying tomorrow is the real start, Glenn nodded and stepped down from the platform.

“Grandpa!”

Sia raised her hand high and ran forward.

“You didn’t say anything to Raon!”

She grabbed Glenn’s sleeve, asking him to say something nice to her younger brother Raon too.

“Ahem!”

Glenn’s cheeks flushed red when Sia touched his hand, but he cleared his throat like nothing happened and looked toward Raon.

“Hmm.”

Raon met Glenn’s gaze and swallowed dryly.

“There is nothing to say to the Light Wind Palace master.”

Glenn looked at Raon for a moment, then shook his head. Even with Sia’s request, he acted as if he truly had nothing to say and walked toward the exit of the training ground.

“Father!”

Balder widened his eyes so much they looked ready to pop out and ran to Glenn.

“You only called me an idiot!”

“You are an idiot. So live like one.”

Glenn tilted his head as if asking what the problem was.

“No, I mean, I am an idiot, but—shouldn’t you give me advice?!”

Balder furrowed his brows, asking how Glenn could just call him an idiot and leave.

“That is the advice. To live like an idiot.”

Giving a small chin nod as if telling him to think carefully, Glenn left the training ground.

“Th-that old geezer!”

Balder stood blankly for a moment, and the instant Glenn disappeared, he stomped his feet and threw punches into the air.

‘That really is advice.’

Raon narrowed his eyes as he watched Balder flailing about.

‘Because for Balder, it’s better to train while being an idiot like now.’

Balder was currently standing before the wall of Transcendence. If he tried to use his head for no reason, he would only end up taking a longer path, so crashing his body and mind together stupidly like he was now seemed better.

‘Then…’

Raon clenched the hilt of Heavenly Drive hard enough to make a sound and furrowed his brow.

‘What about me?’

*   *   *

From the next day on, the swordsmen’s training formally began under Glenn’s instruction.

“Martha. You’re not using the full efficiency of your swordsmanship. Don’t focus on raising your speed, relax.”

Watching Martha refine her swordsmanship based on the martial arts manual Glenn had given her, Glenn immediately told her the advice she needed.

“No. Intuition sword is a swordsmanship where you trust your senses more than your head. Move your sword with your heart.”

Right behind her, he also taught Burren, who was practicing intuition sword, the direction in which he should develop it.

“Sword Sovereign and Aries, start sparring now.”

After instructing Martha and Burren, Glenn called the Sword Sovereign and Aries forward.

“Yes!”

“This is it!”

“But you may only use a sword technique once every ten seconds.”

At his words, the smiling faces of the Sword Sovereign and Aries crumpled as if crushed like paper.

“Karoon and the War King will begin sparring beside them. For you two, don’t think with your heads, pour your martial arts into each other endlessly.”

Glenn gave Karoon and the War King an opposite condition, one where they could feel their senses.

“Dorian. Your growth is also very fast. It would be good for you to learn a new sword technique.”

To those whose growth was quick, he offered additional sword techniques to increase their growth even further.

“Runaan. I know you get stronger even while sleeping, but now you should get up and swing your sword. The sensation of moving the body directly is also important.”

“Balder. I told you you’re an idiot. I did not tell you to do stupid things.”

“Krein. If you keep wielding your sword that clumsily, you won’t even be able to chase Dorian’s shadow.”

Even while teaching others, Glenn immediately pointed out anyone who was goofing off or heading in the wrong direction. It meant he was perceiving everything happening in the huge training ground.

“Uhaaah!”

“I’m dying!”

“I—I’m gonna die….”

Only when lunchtime came did the swordsmen, who had been training from dawn through the whole morning, barely get a break and slump onto the ground.

“It’s hard, but don’t you feel like we’ve changed somehow?”

“Right. Just by following the head of house’s words, our swordsmanship suddenly changes!”

“It’s not just swordsmanship. Our aura and bodies are getting stronger too! My stagnation broke instantly.”

“Not just us, everyone’s changing.”

“Right. Even the Sword Sovereign and the War King said they changed.”

“The continent’s greatest sword is different. It’s lucky for us that the Destructive King of the North is our head of house.”

“I wonder how we’ll have changed by the time this training ends.”

The swordsmen laughed, saying that although they had trained for only a week, the change felt like training for over a year.

“But…”

Dorian stopped laughing and looked toward the far right end, where one person stood alone.

“Will the palace master be okay?”

He pressed his lips tight as he looked at Raon, who kept swinging his sword even while dripping with sweat.

“Come on!”

Krein lightly smacked the back of Dorian’s head.

“Don’t you know who our palace master is? He’s someone who would come back to life even if he died!”

He shook his head vigorously, telling him not to worry about Raon.

“……”

Burren, Martha, and Runaan, unlike Krein, looked at Raon with heavy eyes.

“What…”

Raon, as if he hadn’t heard Krein or Dorian, took rough breaths and pressed down on his dry lips.

“What am I supposed to do?”
