The Reincarnated Assassin is a Genius Swordsman 1057

 Chapter 1057

Kuwaaaaaaang!

The White Blood Religion’s leader endured Raon’s flames, Lecross’ sword strike, and Larian’s lightning with her body, then fled into the air.

Even though she protected her body with bloody energy, the shock must have been great, as her complexion turned pale.

“W-what in the world did you do….”

The White Blood Religion’s leader vomited white blood and clutched the wound on her chest with her hand.

“I'm certain your presence didn't exist!”

Even in her agitated state she spread out aura perception, grinding her teeth, soaked in white blood.

“A dimension was summoned.”

When Larian lifted the clover card she wore on her finger, a bright yellow lightning bolt struck down upon the White Blood Religion’s leader who was attempting to heal her wound with bloody energy.

“D-dimension summoned, what do you mean by that….”

The White Blood Religion’s leader abandoned healing and retreated backward, casting a question about the summoning of a dimension.

“Chamber created a dimension that could conceal a person’s presence, and Lecross went inside to wait. When you were riled up and rampaging because of Raon, someone summoned the hidden dimension behind you where Lecross was concealed.”

Chamber flicked her chin while shaking a diamond card up and down.

“Don’t lie! If a dimensional gate had opened, there’s no way I wouldn’t have noticed it!”

The White Blood Religion’s leader shook her head violently while resuming the healing of her wound.

“The one who opened the dimensional gate wasn’t Chamber.”

King Lecross leapt to her left side and brought down a heavy sword strike toward the crown of her head.

“You bastard!”

The White Blood Religion’s leader raised a transparent wall above her head with bloody energy, but the dark-colored sword strike of Lecross shattered the wall and sent her crashing to the ground.

Kuwaaaaang!

She was slammed into a building and spewed white blood. Because of the severe injuries she had suffered at the start, she seemed unable to concentrate on either healing or fighting.

Chiaaaaaaang!

Lecross, unwilling to let the chance slip, closed in on her and thrust his sword toward her throat.

“Keugh….”

The White Blood Religion’s leader gathered bloody energy into her grip and pushed back Lecross’ sword strike, once again spitting blood.

“The moment you were pouring out your  sorcery spells, saying you would kill the Light Wind Palace master, Lecross pierced your chest along with the dimensional gate.”

Larian struck down ten streaks of lightning, explaining that because the dimension hadn’t been opened, the White Blood Religion’s leader hadn’t been able to sense Lecross’ presence.

“For over a month I’ve been training to cut through your heart along with the dimensional gate, but I didn’t expect it to work this perfectly. I was lucky.”

King Lecross said it was worth the training as he unleashed successive powerful sword strikes at the fleeing White Blood Religion’s leader.

Uuuuuuuung!

Larian and Lecross gave her no time to heal her wounds, no chance to draw out her full power, driving her fiercely.

“Damn it!”

The White Blood Religion’s leader abandoned healing and focused solely on fleeing from Larian’s magic and Lecross’ sword. She seemed intent on regathering bloody energy only after first catching her breath.

Chwaaaaak!

At the moment Lecross and Larian struck her head-on, Raon circled behind and cut her waist and thighs with his divine sword and demonic sword.

“Kkueuk….”

The White Blood Religion’s leader bit her lip as she saw the wounds on her waist and thighs spilling white blood.

Though she emanated a murderous intent as if to kill him, because of Lecross and Larian she could only retreat rather than charge.

Well done! Since your strength is lacking, had you gone deeper you would have been caught.

Wrath nodded, telling him to use Lecross and Larian’s movements as he was doing now.

Winter mosquitoes are poisonous, and that one is abnormal as well. Even before the fight began, she suffered a fatal wound, yet she is buying time and little by little recovering her body.

He furrowed his brow, saying that if the leader of the White Blood Religion had succeeded in awakening, no humans would have survived on this land.

‘That’s why I must end it now.’

Raon slashed the back of the White Blood Religion’s leader, who was focused on Lecross, with the flames of the divine sword, then escaped leftward.

“No, I should say it wasn’t my luck, but thanks to the Light Wind Palace master’s effort.”

King Lecross nodded, saying it was thanks to him having provoked the White Blood Religion’s leader.

“Just when did you start preparing this kind of dogshit….”

The White Blood Religion’s leader bit her blood-dripping lip and glared at Raon.

“From two months ago, when Raon discovered the White Blood Religion headquarters, we’ve been researching how to break through this fortress wall and kill you. No, since it started when Raon came to the ocean, I guess you could say it's been over 3 months.”

Larian nodded her chin, saying it was a long and yet short time.

“Raon and the Light Wind Palace found the White Blood Religion headquarters, while I, Chamber, and Evelyn researched day and night how to break through the walls and reach you, and Lecross and Owen went through hellish training to annihilate you and the bloody demons. The Five Kings’ path was all connected.”

She smiled meaningfully, saying that just as countless streams gather to form the sea, so too were the movements of the Five Kings connected.

“So it was you who started it after all.”

The White Blood Religion’s leader shot a murderous intent at Raon, intense enough to be suffocating, as if she had expected it.

“You ruined everything once again!”

“It wasn’t me, it was your stupidity that ruined everything.”

Raon let out a sneer and drew the Revolving Sky and Crimson Slash toward the enraged leader of the White Blood Religion’s shoulder.

Paaaang!

The White Blood Religion’s leader erased the Crimson Slash and Revolving Sky with a hand wreathed in blood energy, but struck by Larian’s magic from the left and Lecross’ sword strike from the right, she rolled across the ground

“Kkeuuuuhk!”

With legs torn so badly that bone showed, she forced strength into them and fled into the air again.

“Even after being struck by a divine lightning, she’s still like that….”

Larian let out a hollow laugh, dumbfounded.

“She’s recovering and fleeing at the same time. We must keep following and drain her strength.”

With deeply lowered brows, Lecross pursued behind her and struck down with a sword imbued with the will of Transcendence.

Kuuuuuuuuung!

The immense wind summoned by the sword stopped the leader of the White Blood Religion’s movement and slammed her into the earth.

‘Even after being struck by successive lightning spells, she can still move like that….’

Though cut by Lecross’ sword and entangled in Larian’s lightning, she moved faster than I did. An absurd stamina.

‘A monster is indeed a monster.’

Lightning holds divine power that burns away evil energy.

Yet even after being struck again and again by lightning, which has an opposing nature to bloody energy, the martial power of the White Blood Religion’s leader, who was not pushed back, was astonishing.

‘I want to kill that monster right now, but….’

For now, I have to drain her strength as much as possible.

If her neck is cut, then Martha’s mother, the owner of that body, will have no choice but to die as well.

I must make that monster relinquish Martha’s mother’s body on her own.

“Hhhhhh….”

Martha, as if she wished to personally cut the leader of the White Blood Religion’s neck, raised killing intent to a wicked degree, her hand holding the sword trembling. Over her black pupils, transparent water drops welled up.

“Martha. At times like this all the more you must be calm.”

Denier grasped Martha’s shoulder, steadying her emotions when she was inflamed with revenge.

“Mm….”

Sensing Martha’s thick and deep killing intent, the White Blood Religion’s leader stepped to the right and bent her gaze toward Martha. She did not attack or approach, merely kept her eyes fixed on where Martha stood, as though in mere vigilance.

‘Is it really not so?’

Raon narrowed his eyes, watching Denier who was standing as if to protect Martha.

‘There won't be a better chance than now, will there?’

Just in case Denier was a spy, I had been on guard because now was the best time for a surprise attack, but he only consoled Martha and didn't move.

He seemed nothing more than a father cherishing his daughter, and a swordsman who valued the honor of Zieghart.

“Martha.”

Raon flicked his chin at Martha.

“Now it’s your turn. Call forth your mother, who still remains inside that body.”

Though the White Blood Religion’s leader bore grave injuries and was mentally pressed down, she still possessed a vast soul.

My Heart Sword could not cut something that thick, Martha had to shake her spirit.

“M-mom!”

Martha pulled out the worn water-drop necklace over her uniform and cried out the word she had held back for so long.

“Please wake up! You said you’d wake me every morning until I got married!”

She shouted, looking at the identical water-drop necklace swinging from the neck of the White Blood Religion’s leader.

“Your mother just died a little while ago. She screamed to be spared, but with these hands I tore her soul apart.”

The White Blood Religion’s leader let out a sneer toward Martha, as if everything were already over.

“L-Lies! Stop bullshitting. You mosquito bitch!”

Martha shouted furiously, telling her not to spout nonsense.

“With your level, you should be able to feel it. That the only soul remaining in this body is me.”

The White Blood Religion’s leader sent a slash of bloody energy at Martha, saying she would send the mother and daughter together.

Kuuuuuuung!

Denier raised a sword barrier, blocking the bloody energy pouring toward Martha.

“Ah….”

Martha’s jaw trembled as she watched the cold gesture of the White Blood Religion’s leader, using her mother’s face to try to kill her. Her pupils sank into a murky shade.

“Is, is mom's soul really….”

“No!”

Raon pressured the White Blood Religion’s leader with a storm of fire created by red flower petals, then turned his gaze to Martha.

“Your mother’s soul is still alive.”

“Don’t spout nonsense. The owner of this body is already dead.”

The White Blood Religion’s leader shook her head firmly, as though saying it was far too late.

“Then why are you still wearing that necklace even now?”

Raon twisted his lips and pointed at the water-drop necklace hanging on the White Blood Religion’s leader’s neck.

“Hmng….”

Even upon hearing those words, the White Blood Religion’s leader could not tear away the necklace swaying at her throat.

“A cold-blooded monster like you would never leave behind the soul of the body you stole. It’s not that you leave it, you have no choice but to leave it. That necklace too must be a condition for taking possession of the body.”

The White Blood Religion’s leader had been wearing that necklace even when I saw her before. It was clear there was a restriction she had to bear as a requisite for obtaining another person's body.

“You cursed bastard….”

As though struck in the heart, the White Blood Religion’s leader gripped the necklace tightly in her hand. But in the end, she could neither shatter nor remove it, and lowered her trembling hand.

“T-then….”

Martha’s black eyes lit faintly as she looked at him.

“Yes. Your mother is definitely alive.”

Raon nodded with a tone full of certainty.

“I’ll subdue that monster and bring her back, so wait here.”

Raon crushed the blood-soaked earth underfoot as he stepped with the Supreme Harmony Steps. Stirring up the flames of the divine sword and the frost of the demonic sword to their extreme, he charged at the White Blood Religion’s leader.

“Well said. Let's end this for sure.”

Larian, as if to support him, scattered cards imbued with lightning-attribute magic into the air.

“For now, I’ll cast aside a knight’s honor and think only of victory.”

Lecross, saying he was not ashamed to attack together, pressed his lips down firmly and threw his body forward with his sword.

Kuwaaaaang!

Lecross’ sharp yet heavy sword strike crushed the White Blood Religion’s leader’s waist, Larian’s dozens of bolts of lightning bound her arms and legs, and the flames and frost surging from Raon tore her wounds even deeper.

“Grrraaaahhh!”

The White Blood Religion’s leader let out a beastly roar and fled between buildings, spreading a fog of sorcery to block their sight.

“That won’t work anymore.”

Raon split the white mist with the Azure Sky Sword’s Great Bind of the Heavy Sky and then chased the White Blood Religion’s leader who was escaping through an alley.

Paaaaang!

Lecross and Larian too soared into the sky, intercepting the White Blood Religion’s leader with sword strikes and magic, as if determined never to let her escape.

Chwaaaaak!

Raon watched blood spurt from the White Blood Religion’s leader back and caught his ragged breath.

‘I must never give her time.’

Right now, the White Blood Religion’s leader bore wounds that, without recovery, would kill her instantly. Because of that, she couldn’t draw out her full power and was only fleeing, regenerating her body as she ran.

If she were given time to erase those wounds, the situation could be reversed instantly, so they had to keep pressing.

“D-damn it!”

The White Blood Religion’s leader, unable to move her left shoulder, fended off Lecross and Raon’s sword strikes and Larian’s magic with only her right hand, piling up more and more wounds. A shadow of defeat began to spread across her face.

“We must keep pressing so that the White Blood Religion’s leader cannot focus on healing!”

Raon raised two pairs of Flame Dragon Arts with the divine sword and demonic sword. A fire dragon and a water dragon intertwined like twisted coils, sweeping over her entire body.

“Urrrgh!”

Even with a wall of bloody energy raised, she could not block all my strikes, and lips trembling, she was burned and frozen at once.

‘Keep going!’

Raon thrust in powerful, swift sword strikes from the blind spots outside her sight whenever she blocked Lecross’ sword and Larian’s magic.

‘At this rate, we can win.’

Though she showed a persistence beyond even cockroaches, I could clearly feel her stamina and blood energy dwindling. I had to stick close and continue the assault to the end.

‘But….’

This is exhausting.

The battle hadn’t lasted long, but because even a single counterattack could mean death, my stamina and focus were burning away far faster than usual. Sweat drenched my spine, and dizziness swam through my head.

‘Still, I have to keep going.’

To keep my promise with Martha. And to avenge myself against Derus, I had to finish this bothersome mosquito hunt today.

Chiaaang!

Raon circled behind her and unleashed the  Heavenly Heavy Cannon. With powerful gravity he dragged her in, then exploded the immense aura gathered at the tip of his sword.

Kuwaaaaaang!

Because of the pulling force, she seemed unable to fully disperse the impact of Heavenly Heavy Cannon, and the arm wrapped in blood energy trembled violently.

“When it comes to running away, you’re unbelievable. You must be the best among the Five Kings and Four Demons.”

Larian gave a hollow laugh, as if she hadn’t expected her to hold out this long.

“Even so, it’s time we bring this to an end.”

She released all the magic stored in her fifty-two trump cards, summoning a colossal lightning bolt that filled the sky above the White Blood Religion headquarters.

“I too will pour everything into this sword.”

King Lecross gripped his sword in both hands, taking the stance of a lancer about to charge.

Gooooo!

His body, as if transformed into a single sword, flashed with a dark light and spewed forth an energy wave as if to rip heaven and earth apart.

“I too shall follow the two of you.”

Raon wrapped different auras around the divine sword and the demonic sword, then floated the Wooden Ring sword. He prepared his strongest strategy of firing Chilly Wind along with the Red and Blue Invincible Sword.

“If I dodge this, I really will die.”

As though realizing this time there was no avoiding it, the White Blood Religion’s leader drew even the bloody energy she had been using to heal the wound on her chest, raising a wall of bloody energy and deploying a sorcery spell of absolute defense.

“Come!”

Unlike when she fled before, she stomped her foot as though to endure it with her body, and let out a roar.

Ten Thousand Extreme Lightning Flashes!

Along with Larian’s hand, thousands of lightning bolts fell upon the White Blood Religion’s leader’s head.

Kuwaaaaang!

Raon pierced through lightning that caused him not the slightest harm, and exploded the heat and frost imbued in his divine sword and demonic sword toward the White Blood Religion’s leader’s chest.

Kugugugugugu!

With the two blades of the Red and Blue Invincible Sword that burst forth with awe-inspiring power, he pierced through the wall of sorcery and wielded Chilly Wind with the Wooden Ring Sword he had hidden behind his back.

Pueeeok!

Focused on blocking Larian’s lightning and the Red and Blue Invincible, the White Blood Religion’s leader failed to sense the Wooden Ring Sword slipping through her bloody energy, and her neck was pierced.

“Kkugh….”

Even with a sword lodged in her neck, she did not retreat, enduring with a hand wrapped in bloody energy until the Red and Blue on Invincible Sword extinguished.

“Where do you think you’re going!”

Though her breath was ragged, Larian did not stop, she moved to the White   Blood Religion’s leader’s right side and drove in a dagger imbued with magic into her wound.

Fwoooosh!

Flames erupting from the red dagger ripped her wound even deeper.

Kugugugugu!

Even with a sword in her neck and her body ablaze, the White Blood Religion’s leader did not fall, instead, she remained standing where she had first been, and pushed back Raon and Larian.

‘What is this….’

Raon’s jaw trembled as he looked into the White Blood Religion’s leader’s eyes. Her black pupils were not filled with despair as before, but were blazing with ecstasy.

‘Wait… come to think of it!’

Raon recalled the one who had set out with them in the charge but had not arrived, and turned back.

Drip. Drip.

Lecross Albern de Owen, the absolute master of the sword called the Silent  Sword Sovereign, was gasping for breath as he looked at the sword blade protruding from his chest. It was the exact same image as when he had stabbed the White Blood Religion’s leader from behind.

“Ah….”

Behind Lecross, who was vomiting bright  red blood, a man with long, pure white hair flowing down to his waist and a cold expression walked forward. His hair color was different, and so was the light in his eyes, yet he was unmistakable.

“Denier Zieghart….”
