The Reincarnated Assassin is a Genius Swordsman 929

 Chapter 929

“You arrogant brat!”

The Black Tower's master yanked out the Blade of Requiem from his shoulder, hurling it away as he unleashed a massive sword of demonic energy.

Whoooosh!

Raon twisted his ankle to the right, narrowly dodging it, but identical swords rained down one after another. Each sword was thicker and larger than the pillars of a fortress, leaving him with little space to evade.

‘The size isn’t the only problem.’

A murderous will radiated from the massive jet-black sword. If he were to be cut by it, he would undoubtedly suffer a terrible curse.

Whoooosh!

Raon abandoned any thoughts of counterattacking and retreated, stepping back with the Supreme Harmony Steps, Third Steps.

“How… How could the likes of you…?”

The Black Tower’s master had never even considered the possibility of being wounded. He stared at the blood trickling from his shoulder, his lips trembling in disbelief.

"As I said, I won't be overpowered."

Raon exhaled deeply, suppressing his breath from deep within his lungs as he gazed at the Heavenly Drive burning in black flames and the Wooden Ring Sword wrapped in pale green frost.

'So this is the authority of the Demon Kings.'

To kill the Black Tower's master, he had unleashed the authority of every Demon King except for Wrath. Under normal circumstances, wielding such power would have been beyond him, but Zircon’s stability made it possible.

'I can't sustain this for long, but I can fight.'

His body and mind were in a wretched state, but he couldn't afford to let this opportunity slip away. No matter what, he had to cut off the Black Tower's master's breath here.

'Focus.'

This is precisely when he needs to maintain composure.

He mustn't become impatient because the time he can maintain this power is short. In dangerous moments, he must calm his mind and control his rapidly beating heart.

"Haaah…"

Raon infused <Sloth> over the flames of Ten Thousand Flames Cultivation, <Envy> into the Glacier’s cold energy, and the Blade of Requiem, suspended by Garunua's wind and Heavenly Lightning Cultivation, with <Gluttony>.

Lastly, he infused <Lust> into his very body to harmonize and balance all those powers.

Rumbleee!

The pressure of the Demon Kings’ authorities crushed down on his body. Unlike <Wrath>, the pressure was even stronger because it was the power of emotions he didn't usually wield.

Yet, thanks to the Ring of Fire and Zircon’s <Stability>, he managed to endure—barely.

[You… just what are you?]

Zircon gawked at him, mouth agape, unable to fathom that Raon possessed not just Wrath's power, but the authorities of the other Demon Kings as well.

Hmph, so that damn stability is letting you withstand all that power, huh?

Wrath narrowed his eyes, seemingly impressed by Zircon's trait.

[Th-thank you for the compliment.]

Zircon's eyes widened, as if he was happy to receive Wrath’s praise.

That wasn’t a compliment. Shut up.

Despite being the one to say it, Wrath immediately scowled, warning Zircon not to misunderstand. Then, he smacked Zircon’s head.

[Kuh…!]

Zircon shuddered, as if feeling pain in his very soul, and drooped his shoulders.

"Die!"

The Black Tower’s master ground his teeth and stretched out his hand. Countless spikes erupted from his palm, aiming to impale Raon from every direction.

'Zircon, hold on.'

Telling Zircon to maintain his current state, Raon stepped forward with the Supreme Harmony Steps. With his body strengthened by <Lust>, he manifested his imagination into reality.

Fiiiaaang!

Raon twisted his ankle and shoulder in unison, redirecting all the demonic spikes, then swiftly closed in on the left side of the Black Tower’s master. He brought Heavenly Drive down, infused with <Sloth>.

Wuuuuung!

The Demon God’s Robe, still in the middle of regenerating, rose to block his attack, but it couldn’t withstand the weight of <Sloth>. The scorched-black blade cleaved the mantle in half.

Fwaaaaah!

From the torn remnants of the Demon God’s Robe, a gust of jet-black wind burst forth.

'This is….'

The moment Raon saw that black wind, a chill ran down his spine. Just inhaling it felt like it could put his life in danger, it carried a deadly curse.

'Wind must be countered with wind.'

Raon summoned Garunua’s wind into the Blade of Requiem, using it to push back the black wind before charging at the Black Tower’s master once more.

Raising Heavenly Drive, he unleashed the Sword’s Silvery Dream, while Wooden Ring Sword descended in a piercing strike, delivering the Thirty-Six Crimson Slash.

Chwaaaaaang!

The Black Tower’s master formed a shield of condensed demonic energy to block his strikes, but he couldn't withstand the sheer force behind them and was sent crashing into the frozen gate of devildom.

'I have to stay on him.'

He couldn't allow the Black Tower's master any time to cast high-tier spells or sorcery. He had to keep up the pressure without giving him a moment to breathe.

Fwoooosh!

Raon kicked off the air and closed the distance, using the twin blade technique he had learned from Sheryl. His blades tore through the Black Tower's master's magic, slicing through his demonic energy with unrelenting precision.

Chwaaaak!

A series of chilling sword strikes shot forward in succession, gradually adding small wounds to the Black Tower’s master’s body.

"You cockroach bastard! Just get lost already!"

The Black Tower’s master let out a furious roar, spreading his arms wide. An overwhelming explosion of demonic energy erupted, repelling Raon with sheer force.

"Huff…."

Raon furrowed his brows and wiped away the blood trickling from his lips. This battle against a highest-level Transcender was so intense that even a minor hit from demonic energy had inflicted severe internal injuries.

'But just now… what was that? Huh?'

Raon furrowed his brows and lifted his gaze. Behind the Black Tower’s master, whose forehead veins bulged in rage, a massive temple had materialized in the sky.

'A temple?'

It was a pristine white structure with ten towering pillars at its entrance, yet from within, an overwhelming surge of demonic energy was rising.

“Die.”

The Black Tower’s master clasped both hands together, and his demonic energy erupted like a raging storm, crashing down upon Raon’s head.

Booom!

Raon raised Heavenly Drive and Wooden Ring Sword simultaneously, erecting the FireWall to block the attack, but the impact was so immense that it felt as if his hands and arms might shatter. This was on an entirely different level, the demonic energy now carried unfathomable power.

[Peridot's trait is <Chaos>. Her energy is causing that human's demonic energy to go berserk.]

Zircon shook his head, his gaze fixed on the temple behind the Black Tower’s master.

[Defending against that demonic energy will no longer be easy.]

‘Why are you telling me this only now?!’

Exactly! Why didn’t you say anything earlier?!

Wrath spun toward Zircon, grinding his teeth.

[But… you told me not to talk….]

Zircon shrunk back, lowering his head looking pitifully wronged.

Even if he told you to shut up, you should've spoken up about something this important!  What’s in that head of yours, spaghetti?!

Wrath flicked Zircon's forehead with his finger, urging him to use his brain.

[Kuuuuh….]

Zircon sniffled, unable to argue back, seemingly terrified of Wrath.

'Well, now that I know, that's enough.'

Raon swung Heavenly Drive toward the raging demonic energy that roared like a writhing serpent.

Boooom!

Despite being imbued with Sloth’s authority, his strike couldn't cut through it in one go. The demonic energy was too immense, pushing his arms and body back.

'I'm being overpowered again.'

With the release of Peridot’s power, the balance of strength was tilting once more.

'I can't fall here.'

Raon bit down on his lip, drawing forth every last ounce of the Demon Kings’ authorities that he had yet to fully unleash.

Zzzzzzt!

Even though the Ring of Fire resonated, his body was crumbling, and pain as if his skull was splitting apart assaulted him. His breath grew ragged and disconnected.

'But with this power….'

Clenching his teeth, Raon charged forward, slicing through the waves of raging demonic energy without hesitation.

"You insane…."

The Black Tower’s master widened his bloodshot eyes in shock, completely unprepared for the sight of his strengthened demonic energy being cleaved apart.

“Let’s take this to the end and see which of us dies first.”

Raon revealed his determination to die alongside the Black Tower’s master as he shattered the demonic energy and thrust his sword toward the man’s heart.

"Fine! I'll plunge a demonic sword into your skull!"

The Black Towe’s master, equally unwilling to back down, ignited flames of demonic energy, engulfing Raon's entire body.

Kuwaaaaaang!

As sword and demonic energy collided, a colossal wave of black light surged across the darkened sky, illuminating the battlefield with a ghastly glow.

*   *   *

Woooooong!

Chamber, having sent one of the Black Tower master's ultimate spells, the Black Skyfall, to another dimension, ascended back into the sky.

“…Huh?”

Raon was pushing him back?

She had dealt with the falling meteor as quickly as possible, yet upon returning, she found an unbelievable sight, Raon was the one pressuring the Black Tower’s master.

'And he's pressuring an even stronger Black Tower’s master….'

A white temple had suddenly appeared in the sky behind the Black Tower’s master, and he was continuously unleashing overwhelming demonic energy. Even if she were at full strength, it would have been difficult to withstand such attacks. Yet, Raon was cutting through that energy and even launching counterattacks.

'Unbelievable.'

The last time she had seen Raon, he had struggled to break through the Demon God's Robe’s defense, hesitating at every turn. But now, he was tearing it apart, his strikes reaching the Black Tower’s master himself with a threatening precision. The sheer transformation in such a short time was unbelievable.

‘What kind of power is he using?’

Raon wasn’t just wielding aura. A distinct, unfamiliar force enveloped both his blades and his body. She couldn’t tell exactly what it was, but one thing was clear, it was fundamentally opposed to demonic energy.

‘Where did he… No, this isn’t the time to think about that.’

Raon's current strength wasn't something he could sustain for long. While he was pushing the Black Tower's master back, they had to end this now.

"Raon! I'll handle the defense, so push forward!"

Chamber shouted toward Raon’s back while tearing apart the demonic lightning bolts that rained down upon him.

“Haaah….”

Her head was spinning from sending the meteor to another dimension, but watching Raon fight reignited the will that had momentarily settled.

Jjeoooooong!

Raon, trusting in her support, ignored the lightning crashing down and charged in, swinging both swords down at the Black Tower’s master from above.

Claaang!

The Black Tower’s master blocked the attack with flames of demonic energy and frost. But as if he had anticipated the block, Raon unleashed the Blade of Requiem, which had been concealed behind his back.

Paaaaang!

Wrapped in wind and lightning, the Blade of Requiem pierced through space and struck toward the Black Tower’s master’s waist.

Jjeoooooong!

Though the Black Tower’s master raised a wall of demonic energy to block it, the impact still caused his body to stagger violently.

"That barely tickles. Your swords will never be able to kill me."

He let out an explosion of demonic energy, attempting to erase Raon's aura. The spherical waves of energy expanded outward, consuming everything in their path.

"He's lying!"

Chamber erased the approaching waves of demonic energy and shook her head.

“The Black Tower’s master has a habit of twitching his eyelids when he lies. Your swords are definitely hurting him!”

She encouraged Raon while focusing on defense.

“Shut your mouth!”

Annoyed by Chamber’s interference, the Black Tower’s master let out an ear-piercing scream and hurled a spear of demonic energy at her.

"Raon! Keep going! Leave the rest to me!"

For the sake of ending this battle and saving Raon, Chamber once again brought her two fingers together.

‘Even if it costs me my life….’

*   *   *

“Guh!”

The Black Tower’s master bit his lip as he watched Raon charge at him like a raging bull.

‘What the hell is this guy….’

Raon, wrapped in an unknown energy, was displaying a power that overwhelmed his demonic energy. To overpower even demonic energy strengthened by Peridot, it was so absurd he was speechless.

'But that power can't last long.'

Sweat poured from Raon Zieghart's entire body like rainfall. Maintaining that state was draining his mental strength at an extreme rate. As long as I could drag this out, victory would ultimately be mine.

‘However….’

Holding out until then wouldn't be easy.

Despite gaining immense power, Raon hadn't lost the sharpness of his swordsmanship. At this rate, his blade would pierce his throat before his strength ran out.

"How long do you plan to keep running?!"

Raon’s piercing gaze gleamed coldly as he stormed in from the left. Flames, frost, and lightning surged together, pouring down upon him like a relentless storm.

Kwagwagwagwa!

The Black Tower's master barely managed to deflect Raon’s sword strikes before retreating. Even with barriers and shields of demonic energy wrapped around him, the sheer force contained in those strikes made his skin split and bones feel as if they would shatter.

‘But his strikes are slowly losing their sharpness.’

Raon’s mental exhaustion had reached its peak. His once-razor-sharp techniques were fading, replaced by the brute force of his aura. He was being consumed by his own power. It was the perfect moment to counterattack.

Then….

'All I need to do is get rid of that woman.'

Chamber was also on the verge of collapse, and with her damaged upper energy center, she wouldn’t be able to unleash another decisive attack. If he summoned another meteor to keep her occupied, he could finish off Raon and end this long battle.

Woooooong!

The Black Tower’s master formed a defensive spell with his left hand while using his right hand to cast the Black Skyfall to summon meteors.

Kugugugugu!

Five massive meteors, blazing with black flames, burst through the sky, crashing down toward Raon and Chamber.

"Raon! Trust me and move forward!"

Chamber, as if expecting this, declared that she would handle the meteors and began casting a space magic array.

'It worked.'

Now, all that was left was Raon Zieghart.

Chamber would be occupied handling the meteors and unable to move. All he needed to do was seize this opportunity to kill Raon.

Chiiiiiiing!

Without even glancing at the falling meteors, Raon charged forward, fully trusting Chamber.

Chiiiiang!

The three swords he had raised tore through the air, aiming straight for the Black Tower’s master’s throat and heart.

‘Now!’

The Black Tower’s master unleashed his demonic energy the moment Raon got close. The white temple infused with his energy collapsed, revealing a monstrous entity lurking within—a beast of darkness with a single eye and thousands of arms. The grotesque creature devoured his demonic energy and turned its killing intent toward Raon.

Sssssss!

Even as thousands of hands rained down upon him, Raon did not retreat. Instead, he charged forward, undeterred.

‘It’s over.’

The monstrous entity’s hands were imbued with an instant-death curse. Though it couldn’t be maintained for long, the moment those hands made contact, both the body and mind would collapse. This battle was as good as finished.

As the Black Tower's master watched thousands of hands descend upon Raon's head, a triumphant smile crept onto his lips.

Slaaaaaash!

A long tear split the space between them, severing every single one of the monster’s hands before they could reach Raon.

“Ultimate Spell—Fracture of the Void.”

Even as she coughed up black blood, Chamber used her ultimate spell, slicing through both the monster’s hands and the meteors that had been falling toward them.

“You insane—!”

The Black Tower's master, unable to believe Chamber’s interference, let out a horrified scream and staggered back, only for Raon, now wreathed in black flames, to burst forth right in front of him.

“You underestimated her too much.”

"Wai-wait…."

Raon ignored the Black Tower's master as he attempted to raise a barrier of demonic energy and thrust Heavenly Drive forward.

Puuuuuuck!

The black-flamed Heavenly Drive cleaved through the Black Tower’s master vertically, and Wooden Ring Sword, filled with pale green frost, split his body horizontally.

Kuwaaaaaang!

The Blade of Requiem drove into the severed left side of his chest, triggering an explosion of lightning.

‘Even with his head severed and his heart destroyed, he won’t die. I have to obliterate him completely.’

Raon tossed Heavenly Drive behind him and stretched his right hand forward.

The Ultimate Technique of the Monarch of Wrath.

Silver-White Aurora.

Pink frost bloomed over his outstretched fingers, coiled like thorny vines. Wrath's ultimate technique, infused with Lust's authority, completely annihilated the Black Tower’s master’s existence.

Jjeojeojeojeojeok!
