The Reincarnated Assassin is a Genius Swordsman 811
Chapter 811
Editor: Aldbnlf
Gooooo!
Raon gathered wrath into his grasp and lowered his gaze. He planned to unleash it immediately if Darkan was in danger.
No, no, don't do it!
Wrath grabbed Raon’s wrist with his round hand.
Even your sly tongue won't work on that lunatic!
'Even if I can't, there's still a way out. Don't worry.'
Raon shook his head calmly.
He's telling you it won't work!
Wrath pounded his own chest in frustration.
That stalker doesn’t listen to reason! She’ll knock you out and drag you to Devildom!
Wrath turned his gaze to Lust, grinding his teeth.
Just look at how she talks to that moth! Does that look like a conversation between beings with intelligence? They’re just beasts!
Wrath furrowed his brows, saying that individuals like Darkan and Lust were impossible to control.
‘I told you, it’s fine.’
Raon patted Wrath's head, which was sticking up.
Well, you’re just as insane as those two! The King of Essence thought you’d lost your mind when you started searching for flowers, but you really have gone mad!
Wrath snorted as he glanced at the red flower planted by the first head of house Zieghart.
Hmm, but this flower… It’s a bit unusual.
He squinted at the flower, examining it closely.
It has lived longer than elves. It seems to share its vitality while absorbing vitality from other living beings.
Wrath clicked his tongue, explaining that the flower was purifying the vitality of the land.
How did you find this spiritual flower?
‘It was planted by the ancestor of Zieghart.’
After answering Wrath, Raon looked up at the sky.
The barrier that Lust had penetrated was slowly repairing itself. That also seemed to be the effect of the flower.
'Just who is he, really...?'
What was he fighting against?
Zieghart’s ancestor had planted this flower, saying that this place must serve as the last bastion. Raon still couldn’t understand what he had meant by that.
'Was the battle already over? Or...'
Raon frowned as he recalled the ancestor’s red eyes he had seen last.
Between his time and the ancestor's time lay a river of a thousand years, so perhaps everything had already ended.
But if the ancestor's plan still lingered on to this day, then there was also the possibility of something big happening in the future.
‘Is there a way to find out…?’
Hey, you fool!
While Raon was lost in thought, Wrath smacked him on the head.
What are you doing! That moth is on the verge of collapse! Let's get out of here quickly!
Wrath's tail trembled as she pleaded to escape, resembling a frightened cat.
If Lust captures you, the King of Essence might be ripped out alive from your body!
‘I told you, no need to worry.’
Raon lowered his hand, smiling faintly.
‘If everything goes according to my plan, it’ll end well. Probably.’
Probably? Prooooobably?
Wrath shook his head furiously, screaming in disbelief.
The King of Essence’s life is on the line!
‘“That’s fortunate, then.’
Raon smirked and raised his fist, gathering wrath.
‘Because I'm risking my life too.’
* * *
Kwaaaaang!
Darkan was pushed back by Lust’s saber strike, biting his lip.
‘I’m starting to lose my breath.’
Physical wounds could be endured with willpower, but the soul wounds inflicted within the mental world couldn’t be withstood even with resolute determination. He felt his strength dwindling.
‘What a waste.’
The swordswoman before him was one of the strongest he had ever faced.
He could feel that she had trained in swordsmanship for an unthinkably long time, and it was regrettable and frustrating not to be able to fight her at his peak condition.
“Are you satisfied now?”
Lust tilted her chin at Darkan.
"Tell me. Where is Wrath?"
She lifted her blue eyes, saying she would let him go if he told her.
"Wrath. Wrath, huh..."
Darkan clicked his tongue briefly and recalled the blue being he had encountered in the mental world.
‘That must be him.’
Judging by the Dragon Lord’s reaction to Wrath and the colossal soul he had seen today, Wrath was undoubtedly a demon king.
The swordswoman before him must be a similar being.
Most humans would panic, spread rumors, or be terrified. But he didn’t care.
The only thing that mattered was whether her swordsmanship was strong or not.
Even if the demons destroyed the world, he would be content as long as he could witness new swordsmanship.
‘However…’
Not now.
Raon Zieghart—that child was unlike any warrior he had ever seen.
Neither Glenn Zieghart, closest to the Sword God, nor the Heavenly Demon, who once displayed absolute power, nor the Demon King with a colossal soul, seemed capable of reaching that child’s limits.
‘That’s why I want to save him.’
The obsession radiating from this swordswoman rivaled his own obsession for swordsmanship. If Raon were caught, he doubted it would end well
“Not yet.”
Darkan straightened his back, shaking his head. Despite soul wounds and internal injuries making blood rise to his throat, he swallowed it back with a smile.
“I haven’t seen the end of your saber yet.”
"You're persistent. If you tell me Wrath’s location, it'll be easier for you."
"I'm not the type who likes easy things."
"Very well. I'll leave you alive just enough to say your last words. After that, you will surely die."
Lust’s cold eyes glinted as she gripped her long, curved saber.
Kuwaaaaaa!
Her sword extended endlessly, covering all directions. It seemed as if the entire Holy Sword Alliance was placed upon her blade.
"Excellent!"
Darkan let out a hearty laugh as he observed Lust's sword strike, which seemed ready to tear apart his flesh and bones at any moment.
Despite the chilling killing intent approaching, he first admired her mastery of saber techniques.
'This is the pinnacle of illusion sword and variable sword. I can’t even fathom how many times she must have swung her saber.'
That woman's talent in swordsmanship wasn't particularly special.
But in terms of effort, even he or Glenn couldn't compare.
‘It’s beautiful swordsmanship. However…’
What he wanted to see was beyond that.
Kwaaaaaaah!
Darkan severed the connection with his Dancing Sword and focused on his mental world.
He drew out his Heart Sword and advanced towards the pouring saber slashes.
‘It’s the same.’
Just as with the Blue Demon King he had encountered in the mental world, he sensed an endless and enormous soul from that swordswoman.
As he had expected, she was also a Demon King.
‘Once again…’
Even when faced with a soul too dense to cut through with his Heart Sword, Darkan’s smile didn’t falter.
‘Another challenge!’
Seeing himself as a challenger, he imbued his will to fight to the end into his Heart Sword and swung it down.
Kwaaaaah!
A jet-black flash burst from Darkan’s hand.
The sharpened Heart Sword pierced Lust’s body, its keen blade now reaching toward her very soul.
Thwack!
Despite his entire body being slashed by the continuous saber attacks, Darkan swung his Heart Sword to the very end.
Chiiiik!
With his soul injured, his Heart Sword was too weak to cut through the Demon King's soul.
However, because he never gave up until the end, Lust seemed to have suffered a significant shock as she was flung backward.
Crack!
Although Lust's body bore no physical wounds, a pink mist emanated from behind her back.
It was a completely different color from the aura she had used until now.
‘Hmm…?’
Darkan swallowed dryly as he observed Lust's strange appearance.
‘What is that…?’
Pink hues typically exuded warmth, affection and love, but the pink emanating from that woman held nothing but eeriness and chill.
Fwoooosh!
Lust’s blue hair turned a light pink as a massive malice began to surge throughout the Holy Sword Alliance.
“Human….”
Lust bared her white fangs, exhaling heavily.
“You’ve touched something you shouldn’t have.”
For the first time, she spoke without mentioning Wrath’s name, her sticky voice dripping with coldness. Strangely, it was a voice one wanted to keep hearing.
“I will make you a slave who cannot escape even in death… huh?”
Lust, about to remove her robe, suddenly turned her gaze. She looked up at the mountain beyond the village, her lips trembling.
“Wrath. Wrath!”
Forgetting her anger entirely, Lust dismissed her pink energy and dashed toward the mountain.
“Th-That’s—!”
Rector widened his eyes. The strange swordswoman was heading toward the mountain Raon had climbed just a while ago.
“Damn it!”
He turned his weary body to follow Lust.
“No need to go.”
Darkan, sitting where he was, shook his head.
"Neither you nor I can help even if we go."
He gestured dismissively, indicating the futility of pursuing her.
"Your grandson deliberately called that monster. It means he can handle it."
Darkan offered a faint smile, reassuring him.
“Even so….”
Rector clenched his fists as he looked toward the mountain where Raon was.
“I have to go. He’s my grandson.”
Pressing his lips tightly together, he began walking toward the mountain.
"You’re speaking just as a grandfather should."
Martha supported Rector from behind, curling her lips into a smirk.
“We’re coming too.”
Burren nodded, expressing his intent to join.
"To the very end."
Even Runaan, rarely raising her voice, stepped forward.
“Sir R-Raon doesn’t seem to need us, though….”
Dorian rolled his eyes, but in the end, he followed behind Rector.
“Is that so?”
Darkan, lying sprawled on the ground, laughed weakly.
“I just realized there are so many things I don’t know other than sword.”
He clicked his tongue, closing his eyes.
“Well, it’s easier that way.”
* * *
Whooosh!
Raon swallowed dryly as he faced Lust, who had already approached him.
‘Has she regained her senses?’
Just moments ago, Lust had been struck by Darkan's Heart Sword and was about to reveal her true appearance. But as soon as she sensed Wrath’s wrath, she regained her composure and flew here.
Her obsession was terrifying.
“Wrath?”
Lust’s lips quivered as she looked at Raon.
“Is it really you…?”
Her gaze held a mix of doubt and joy.
"So you've finally come all the way here."
Raon folded his hands behind his back, imitating Wrath as he’d seen him in the mental world, emanating a subtle wrath.
Th-That pose! Where did you learn it?!
Wrath opened his mouth wide in disbelief.
"Ever since I first saw you, it’s been strange. It's the first time I’ve found myself looking at a human without realizing it."
Lust spoke of the moment their eyes met before she fought Darkan, clutching her hand tightly.
"You really are Wrath, aren’t you?"
"Judge for yourself, whether you want to believe or not."
Raon spoke in Wrath’s tone, his gaze indifferent as if it didn't matter whether she believed him or not.
You bastard….
Wrath’s hands trembled.
This damn brat is impersonating the King of Essence again! But…
He tilted his head with a twisted smile.
That lunatic won’t fall for it!
Wrath chuckled, saying Raon was underestimating Lust's obsession.
“Why are you in a human form?”
Lust’s turned sharp and suspicious, her demeanor showing she would seize him whether he was Wrath or not.
'This is dangerous.'
Raon suppressed his fiercely pounding heart and exhaled slowly.
He had to create a situation where he could pretend to be Wrath without getting caught by Lust.
“This body belongs to the King of Essence’s subordinate.”
Raon placed his hand on his chest and nodded slightly.
The King of Essence would never take a madman like you as a subordinate!
Wrath vehemently shook his head.
“Your subordinate? You came to the human world for such a young human?”
Lust narrowed her eyes further.
“When a King takes care of a subordinate, does age or race matter?”
Recalling Wrath’s serious demeanor, Raon fixed her with a cold gaze.
"That’s right. You were always that kind of king..."
Lust smiled faintly as if reminiscing about the past. It seemed she was starting to believe, at least a little, that he was Wrath.
At the same time, a deep Lust began to fill her eyes.
Huh…
Wrath blinked blankly.
W-what? Is she falling for this?
Wrath’s jaw dropped, his expression blank with disbelief.
No, wait! She can't fall for it!
Wrath trembled, saying that if this continued, Raon would inevitably be captured.
“Wrath. I…”
Lust’s red lips moved slightly as she lowered her gaze. It felt like looking at a drenched, young animal. A strange heat rose throughout Raon’s body, and he began to feel an urge to touch and embrace her.
‘So, this is lust.’
Wrath had said that Lust disliked using her authority, so it seemed that a very weak authority had been activated without her realizing it.
Wooooooong!
As the Ring of Fire resonated, the heat that had constricted his body began to subside, and his mind became clearer again.
You fool!
Wrath frowned in disappointment.
She barely even used her authority, and yet look at you! Get a grip!
Wrath shook his head, warning that if Raon got captured, everyone would be doomed.
‘Thanks for the encouragement.’
It’s not encouragement! If you get caught, it’s all over!
‘Whatever.’
Raon steadied his breath and focused his mind.
"Did you follow the King of Essence all the way here?"
“Yes, only to find you.”
Lust nodded, as if that explained everything.
"As I searched the entire Devildom, I somehow ended up in the human world. I happened to discover traces of you in a dungeon and was convinced you were here. I guess we are bound by fate."
She uttered the long sentence in one breath, her eyes sparkling with delight.
‘Hmm…’
Raon narrowed his eyes as he recalled Lust's words.
‘She really must have a terrible sense of direction.’
Lust didn’t seem to know Wrath was in the human world from the start. It sounded more like she’d arrived here by chance.
It looked like she truly got lost and wandered all the way here.
‘But if it’s a dungeon…’
Could it be Lohengreen’s dungeon?
That place contained both Wrath’s past and present Wrath. She must have found traces of him there.
“Wrath. Let’s go back together.”
Lust extended her pale white hand toward Raon.
“As long as I have you…”
“The King of Essence has things to do.”
Raon shook his head, once again impersonating Wrath.
“When everything is over, He’ll return. Don’t rush him.”
“Everything? What do you mean by that?”
Lust’s gaze turned cold, her eyes darkening. She seemed ready to forcefully subdue him, no matter what he said.
The King of Essence told you, didn’t he?!
Wrath trembled, shaking his head.
That lunatic doesn’t understand words! She’s not asking for an answer—she’s just looking for an excuse to act!
He slammed the ground and wailed, saying it was all over.
"What is the reason you are chasing the King of Essence?"
Raon calmly lowered his chin without panicking.
“That’s…”
Lust, who was ready to lunge, paused.
“It must be because the King of Essence said the words you wanted to hear.”
Raon slowly turned his gaze away.
‘The answer is already clear.’
Wrath had mentioned that Lust disliked her own powers and had followed him because of something he’d said.
From that, Raon could roughly guess what kind of conversation had taken place between the two Demon Kings.
“That’s right…”
Lust nodded heavily.
“You told me not to be defined by Lust, but to become myself.”
She nodded again, saying Wrath’s words had been a great comfort to her.
"That’s why I’m telling you to come with me! Just as you comforted me, now I’ll comfort you! I’ll even give you the entire Devildom if you want!"
Lust clasped her hands together, saying she could do anything for him. Her eyes swirled like a vortex.
She seemed overly excited, about to act impulsively.
‘She’s losing her mind again.’
Seeing the look in Lust’s eyes, Raon realized she’d soon become impossible to reason with. He needed to end this quickly.
He told you it wouldn’t work! You’ve just provoked her instead!
Wrath shook Raon’s sleeve in desperation.
“Do you think the King of Essence would be satisfied with such trivial things?”
Raon pushed Wrath aside, shaking his head briefly.
"I don’t care if you don't want the Devildom! I can give you anything you desire!"
Lust bit her lip.
"And now, I can’t hold back even if I want to. I will take you, even if by force!"
She shouted that she had reached her limit, her neck trembling.
Fwoooosh!
Lust’s eyes and hair turned pink. Her light-pink gaze, which should have exuded warmth, love, and affection, instead exuded such intense lust that it sent a shiver through the soul.
It seemed the true authority of the Monarch of Lust was revealing itself.
“When do you think this flower was planted?”
Raon used the Ring of Fire to the extreme, enduring the suffocating energy waves Lust emitted, and pointed at the flower planted by the first head of Zieghart.
“…”
For the first time, Lust’s gaze left Raon. She turned her head toward the red petals of the flower.
“I don’t know. It seems very old, but I don’t care.”
Although Lust noticed the flower wasn’t ordinary, she dismissed it indifferently.
“The King of Essence planted it the year he first met.”
Raon looked at the red flower with a gentle gaze.
“Ah…”
At those words, Lust instantly suppressed the authority of Lust emanating from her body.
Her eyes sparkled blue again.
“Is that… true?”
“You can see for yourself.”
Even though Raon was blatantly lying, his expression did not change at all.
His gaze and lips did not waver, as if he were truly speaking the truth.
“You… for me…”
Lust covered her mouth with the hand she was about to attack with, overwhelmed with emotion.
W-what kind of crazy talk is this!
Wrath’s cheeks trembled in disbelief.
You said your ancestor planted it!
‘Ancestor will forgive me for this.’
Raon glanced at the sky and winked with one eye. Since it was to escape from the Demon King, surely, he would understand
This piece of trash! Are you claiming your ancestor's work as your own? One day, you’ll face divine punishment—no, demonic punishment!
Wrath grabbed his head, saying he was going crazy.
“At first, this place was desolate and dark, just like your heart. It truly took a long time for it to regain this kind of vitality.”
Recalling the pitch-black mountain from his ancestor’s memories, Raon furrowed his brow.
“Both you and the King of Essence still need more time.”
Raon lowered his gaze, saying it wasn’t yet the right time.
“When that day comes, the King of Essence will seek you out first. Wait until then.”
He told her to wait, nodding heavily.
Nooooooo!
Wrath screamed.
What are you babbling about?! The King of Essence King will never go! He’d rather die!
Wrath grabbed Raon’s own collar, shaking it violently.
“…”
Lust trembled as she looked at the red flower and the mountain filled with vitality. She had a conflicted expression, as if contemplating various things.
“…How can I trust you? You’ve always run away.”
She bit her lip, saying it felt like this was the only chance she would get.
“Trust, is it…”
Raon let out a faint smile, slowly lowering his gaze.
"Then let’s do it this way."
He extended his wrist toward Lust, showing the ice flower bracelet Wrath had given him.
“Give the King of Essence your authority. Let it serve as a token of our promise.”
He asked for her authority, lifting his chin confidently.
“Ah…”
As soon as Lust heard Raon asking for her authority, she clasped her hands together, tears welling in her eyes. It seemed she was finally starting to trust him.
‘It worked.’
Raon clenched his fist tightly. He had managed to stop Lust from taking Wrath and even reached a point where he could obtain Lust’s authority.
It was a more perfect result than he had planned.
Th-this actually worked?
Wrath shivered as he stared at Raon’s composed expression.
Sc-scary! There’s a crazier lunatic here than Lust!

Lol so far he has wrath, gluttony, sloth, greed, and lust. Still needs pride and envy. I wonder how hes going to collect them. Envy might be envious of raons collection and pride wouldnt admit to being beneath raon. but how is he going to trick them i to giving up their power. I feel like he has to collect all 7 sins to beat the archangel. was it Raphael or michael? I dont remember who made a deal with roberts.
ReplyDeleteRaon already had Envy's authority when he was still a Master, around chapter 424+.
DeleteHe doesn’t have greed
Deletethe archangel with derus was Uriel
Deletethat's right. Raon doesn't have the authority of greed. In the greed arc, the authority he got was gluttony.
DeleteHe has envy already, but still needs greed. I think pride is the hardest one... Maybe he has to take it by force?
DeleteGreed is the merchant-he has to strike a deal or negotiate for it. Pride, though... that one won't be given willingly
DeletePride will be easier compared to greed. Greed is a sly one and won't fall for MC's tricks.
